Customer Questions & Answers

Is it really a "concentrate"

The name says "concentrate" but, in the specs under "ready-to-use or concentrate" it says "READY TO USE". Moreover it says it makes 10 gallons at the 3 oz. rate even though the recommended rate is 6 oz. per gallon. So, it makes only 5 gallons at the recommended rate. Appears that the specs are quite confused!
Asked by: Wally66
We apologize for the confusion experienced when using Roundup Max Control 365 Concentrate. This product is actually a concentrate, and the dilution rate for it is 6 fl oz per gallon. The product can be mixed with enough water to make up to 5 gallons of solution. Can I use this on cleared yard before putting mulch down for a playground, or will the chemicals be bad for my kids?

We are using a 3 inch mulch layer and will wait at least a day between application and mulching.

Customer Reviews

32 oz. Max Control 365 Concentrate is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works on Bermuda Grass A bit pricey but works well. Does not stop the new grass from starting but will kill it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from More weeds after 60 days I sprayed all of my non-grass areas with Roundup max control 365, using the recommended mixture from the container, in late March 2015. By late May some areas had more weeds returning. I pulled the weeds and resprayed. By mid June new weeds were beginning to show up again. The areas are generally not watered and we have had very little rain in Arizona. The weather has been near/above 110 degrees daily since the first of June but new weeds are still appearing. The product has certainly not lived up to its promises and is not worth the additional expense. I could have bought the regular Roundup (which I have used in the past) and saved 75% of the cost. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I bought this product 2 months ago. It took a while to see any results but here I am 2 months later & I have to buy more weed killer. There is greenery popping up all over where I sprayed. So much for 365!!! I thought that by buying this line that I would have gotten better results since it is almost 3 times more than the regular Round up. Not true :( I had better results, the last 5 years, using the regular one. I would like my money back & suggest that people not waste their money on the 365 line. Stick with the original.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Problem with the wand, and weeds come back in a few months or sooner. I used 365 to kill moss and weeks in between pavers that make up my patio. Used it last year, after manually removing all weeds and moss. The moss started to grow back a few months later and I sprayed it again in the fall. This spring I had to manually remove moss again. Not knowing what else to use, I bought more 365. Now the wand doesn't work properly. It runs in "spirts", not evenly, and you have to squeeze really hard with both hands. I replaced the batteries...didn't help. I am very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick Kill, promised long lasting results Concentrate needs to be mixed prior to use, so have a spray bottle handy. Economical given the amount of mixed product it produces. I have used Round Up products for years, and this product produced yellow within a few days and total kill with a week on most weeds. It promises protection from re-emergence for up to a year, so the residual benefit should be good. This is a good property of the product when applying to weeds in sidewalks on pavers, as you don’t want to keep reapplying. As any weed killer, avoid the lawn areas. I noticed when I sprayed some areas close to my yard edge some of the grass took a hit, so be careful in the application, as it will kill anything it touches. However, as seen in the photos, you can kill unwanted weeds close to plants without damage to the plants if you screen the desirable plant from the spray.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Up to 365? more like 60 days to me!! I bought this at home depot back in May, applied it to weeds that kept popping up in my walk path. They went away for two plus months after the application and now they're growing back like crazy. I thought that was to keep them away for up 365 days? Frustrated!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not any better then regular Roundup I sprayed my gravel driveway 30 days ago and just like regular Roundup (which is much cheaper) I have to spray again 30 days later!! I will go back to using spectricde because it will at least last most of a summer and half the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY This product will not stay in place. One good rain washed it all into my grass and killed it. And where i did spray it the weeds are growing strong. Stick with the original product
