The outside profile is extremely difficult to attach to the back profile. Even with two other people's assistance, it keeps popping out. Instructions and Youtube videos did not help. Makes me wonder if the manufacturer tested this using installers or even listened to their feedbacks. The Keystones ( couplers) do not attach to the outside profile with PVC cement, CA glue or any sort of glue. If you use doublesided tape, it will come out after a while because of heat and weather. We even tried degreasing the adhering ends with acetone cleaner. No luck!
Do yourself a favor - get the traditional crown molding and install it. If you want to run wires use some other means. This is highly likely to become a painful or failed project.

Instructions are difficult to understand. I had to try and find a youtube video that did help. Installing the outside edge was VERY difficult.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Met my expectations, however....
This product is probably excellent for indoor use on drywall. My installation was outdoor, on stucco, in a patio area. The instructions need more information, or at least some hints. For example, when the back support is installed, it tend to bend away from the wall when the front piece is installed. On drywall this would simply be fixed by installing additional screws/nails along the bottom edge, however in stucco that was not that easy, as there was steel reinforcement in this location.
I was able to get a very nice installation after making adjustments to their installation instructions.
Also, the inside corner pieces are designed with additional flanges to compensate for corners that maybe more than 90 degrees. I do not recall seeing any mention of this in the instructions, and had half of these installed before I noticed the flanges. If you have good square corners, these MUST BE REMOVED or the corners go in off vertical, making it difficult to get a good match when you cut the front piece to length.
Cutting the front material can be difficult. You will need to experiment with a procedure to get a good square cut THAT IS SMOOTH.
The overall project took muck longer than expected, but I believe this was due to the installation over stucco. I really like the final look and the ability to hide the wires for the indirect lighting is great.

I was skeptical at first if a plastic crown molding would look good in a dinning room. It came out perfect. The instructions are very hard to follow. You really need to spend time thinking about how it will go up. Once you figure it out, it goes up 1-2-3. Caulking also worked well as small gaps because of the imperfections in the walls and plaster covered easily. Overall very happy with this product.

This is the second time I have ordered the product and my wife and I love the results. I also recommended the product to a nephew who is redoing his kitchen.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JoeA Amazing product!
With Hurricane Irene we got water damage everywhere (basement, ceilings, molding, walls) I looked everywhere for a products that look classy, reasonably priced, and durable so if have another misfortune we won't have to go through the same repairs again. This product is extremely easy to install, looks and is more versatile than conventional molding. Best of all, in our high humidity rooms (basement) if it ever gets wet, dirty, or moldy, just wipe it down instead of repainting it! The company's customer service rep was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions before I started, and even gave me decorative ideas to install this in the bathrooms with track lighting. Everyone has complemented me on how it looks.
Truely an awesome product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sunny Great product for those of us who are challenged in trying to put up crown molding.
The product was easy to use and install. My only issue is that I wish their instructions were better. When installing the base section, they should have a clearer picture on which direction the wall section should face. I didn't realize until after I had all of the base sections cut and screwed to the ceiling that I had installed it backwards. This was very frustrating because I had to remove all of the sections and pray that I didn't snap the base at the crease since I had to now bend it 180 degrees in the other direction. So what I wound up doing was to first flatten the piece out, put clear packing tape on both sides of the crease, let stand overnight and then bend the base 90 degrees in the other direction. I held my breath because I wasn't looking forward to purchase eight more base pieces if they cracked. I would think that since this product has been around a number of years that they would have better installation pictures. Anyway, still loved the product.

For someone who has "two left hands", like myself, the Room-in-a-Box set-up was simple & fast. I used it for my surround sound wiring. The real bonus was that I needed access to the wiring a few times after I installed it and it was easy to both remove and put back together. Highly recommended!
