Could you use this as inside and outside corner trim over tiles within a shower to finish the corners? Is there any adhesive or anything on the inside that would prevent this?

Yes, PVC trim pieces will work in a shower. I've done it. Sorry to have not seen the question earlier.

Just use a caulk to put them in - - no glue.
(Study your caulks and take your chances. Many caulks seem to attract mould nowadays -- especially the anti-bacterial ones. :( ) I know we used a clear silicone back behind where it would not show, but a white -- and I can't remember silicone or non-silicone -- on the exposed seams. )
I've used the quarter round as an inside corner piece, and I've made niches for shampoo out of brick mold and some 1x and some casing -- has always looked great! We also made a type of shelf at the baseboard level.
And it's worn very well, almost all of it...
Other than caulks, one thing I would caution about is to check the brand of trim first and whether it is a PVC all the way or has a painted coating -- some pieces we bought very early on (when first being produced and it might have been a Royal Molding brand) had a coating of bright white paint to compensate for the less than bright white color throughout, while some of it didn't. I don't know if this is still true. Most I see now is solid , not coated. At the time, we were mixing and matching brands to get the profile pieces we needed for the niches.
The 1 by dimensional pieces we used were -- not realized by us -- coated and the paint or coating on those did partially wear off, leaving a mottled effect -- where the solid PVC pieces have not shown any wear at all, whether in water areas or up high in dry areas.
White trim against white matte tile -- you can't tell it's not a tile piece. I'd do it again and am doing it. Read Less

Customer Reviews

6577 11/16 in. x 11/16in. x 8 ft. PVC Composite White Outside Corner Moulding is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from the angle is not right This is a very simple thing made of dense pvc, white color is fine, 8 feet under $5, easy to install, pretty flexible, durable as any plastic. So what can go wrong with it? There is but one thing that can be wrong, and it is wrong indeed! The inner angle of this molding is not even close to 90 degrees as you would expect, but closer to 105 degrees on my estimation. As a result, unless the corner you are working on is somewhat obtuse (is that the right term?) you will get conspicuous gashes between the wall and the molding. Good that I noticed this before installing it, returned the thing and bought the pre-primed wooden analog produced in Mexico, which was OK.
