How to instal drain hose

Asked by: Ana
Hello Ana, There are two drain ports on the back of the unit. The secondary drain port just above the cord spool is were the drainage hose connects. The primary drain port located at the bottom of the unit is for draining to the collection tray. I hope this helps. Cheers, Chris

11,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, Fan and Dehumidifier with Remote Control is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water everywhere!!!! I installed the unit and it took a few hours to even notice a difference in the temperature in the room. After running for a few hours (less than eight) I notice the carpet is wet. Not just wet, SOAKING wet. Once trying to drain the water from the unit with the provided tray, it proves very difficult as the tray is tiny. It is hard to fit the under the drain and in addition to that, once it is under the drain it can only hold the smallest amount of water. Later I installed the "drain hose", I thought my problems were solved until I just checked a few moments ago and once again there is water soaking all over my carpet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not run-do not purchase Do not waste your money on this air conditioner. It would not run when I when I turned it on. I purchased it because it was cheaper then other brands, but should have listened to the advice of others online. Cheaply made product, do not purchase!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unit did not work out of the box. The air conditioner did not work out of the box. The shipping box was damaged but the unit's exterior had no obvious damage. Assembled per instructions and turned power on. Air blew out, but none of the air was cool. Never heard compressor tuned on. Called Royal Sovereign customer service and they gave me the phone number of a local appliance repair shop. The next day left it there. It has been five business day and I’ve not heard anything from the repair shop. Left voice message on their answering machine today. So here I sit…no AC no nothing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this yet! Just received this item today - 21 Jul 2011. The item was defective - doesn't cool at all. I gave it a try for another two hours and still it wasn't giving me any degree cooler. I am returning it first thing tomorrow. However, I just ordered another one (similar item) after complaining to the customer service of HomeDepot.com. This time, the customer service is shipping it within two days. I'd like to give it another chance and I will write another review as soon as I get my replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product did not work! The compressor would never turn on. The fan worked fine, but was sucking what cool air I had in the room and venting it right the window. Turned a 75 degree room into an 85 degree room very fast. I returned it to the store the same night I received it and got a competitor's model. It worked like a champ.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad design On initial usage it appears to be a great idea, an A/C unit that can be moved from room to room. I don't know about other portable A/C units, but this model suffers from some bad design qualities. The most disappointing is how it is designed to take care of any water removed from the air (all A/C units act as dehumidifiers and remove excess water from the air). It does supply a hose that can be placed into a floor drain, as you would any dehumidifier. However, this is counter to any concept of it being "portable". If you do not use the hose and instead choose to drain the unit when it becomes full, you are seriously handicapped. The drain plug is so close to the floor you are forced to use the exceptionally small supplied tray, which requires a half dozen efforts to completely drain the internal system. In a normal dehumidifier there is a removable bucket to drain, which this unit does not have. I will be returning this unit to Home Depot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from a very expensive humidifier and fan. Correctly set-up this unit was unable to cool a 10 foot by 10 foot room. Being returned.
