I was looking for the smaller version of this cabinet for our patio and evidently missed. It appears this is a replacement product. I am unable to determine from the photo if the top surface is flat or slightly curved upward. I would like to use top surface for flower vase, beverage service, radio, etc.

What can I do to get the doors to close fully.

When I use a lock to close the door, the top portion of the doors seem to be closed, but the bottom section is not fully closed and sticks out a bit as if it's opening. Perhaps there is something that I can buy and install on the inside of the unit that would allow it to close. Any ideas would be appreciated!

After ensuring that nothing in the cabinet is impeding the closing of the doors, I find that a gently placed "foot" (actually the side of my ankle) to the lower edge is very effective in securing the bottom of the doors.

shims worked for on of the cabinets but the other one was sitting in an area where the bricks were more uneven and un-level. for the second cabinet i used left over fence pickets to create a level platform for the cabinet to sit on. Read Less

Yes, there are 4 different holes where you can mount the shelf brackets, you can make the top shelf be anywhere from around 10 inches to ~16 inches from the ceiling of the cabinet.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 102 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks nice but built kinda cheap Looks really nice but doors will not stay shut and both doors have issues with the hinge. The door pins that are molded into the doors at the top and bottom are designed to slip into the metal hinge plates that you install on the cabinet during assembly, but they are molded plastic and mine were not formed correctly or maybe damaged during shipping, but in either case, they do not slip into the hinge plates and hold properly. I have already made some modifications with a fender washer and screw on the lower right, but the left door now falls off every time you open the door, so I suppose more fixes are going to have to happen now. Very Cheaply Made -- Poor design on the hinges -- May 31, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rock and a hard place While I was away for 2 nights at the hospital my son-in-law was kind enough to assemble the cabinet and surprise me upon my return. Either he made some mistakes in assembly or the product was at fault. The left door on the cabinet will not stay flush with the right door in the closed position. The left door appears to be warped at the bottom right corner. I dare not embarrass my son-in-law and insinuate that he may have screwed up. It does appear to me that the door was probably warped when it was delivered. Currently it's sitting on my deck and I don't have time to mess with it. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Patio cabinet I would have given this product 5 stars but there was an area of scratches near one of the handles and lightened spots on the top. We also couldn't get it to close without one of the doors popping open but that could be how we put it together. I love all the space inside and it matches the outdoor furniture on our porch. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solid & attractive outdoor cabinet Assembly was very time consuming, but the final product is excellent - very sturdy and attractive. The shelves didn't fit perfectly, but adding some washers behind the hooks that hold up the shelves solved the problem. August 30, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Leaks and doors fall off We got this to store seat cushions and since it leaks, it is not serving its purpose. A bit of a pain to assemble. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Purchase I purchased this cabinet to keep my reciever protected from the elements. I love sitting on my desk listen to music and I don't want to have to bring my speakers and reciever indoors once I'm done. It looks so much better than the tarp I was using. I'm very happy with this cabinet. I almost didn't buy it because of previous reviews. The shelf stays put and the doors work GREAT! I had NO problems putting it together by myself August 9, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not great Seems functional, but packaging is terrible. Nothing protects the pieces so they just bang around in the box and get all scratched. Molded hinge is bent out of shape. You must use something in the door latchs or they won't stay closed. I expected more for almost $200. August 23, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking but doors done shut all the way. This cabinet looks nice and there is a decent amount of storage space. However, the doors do not close all the way allowing water from rain to get in. August 9, 2016
