Answer:
The shed comes with a floor but that floor needs to sit on a leveled hard surface. You can make a simple platform using 2X4s, 2X6x and outdoor rated boards. It’s very simple and plenty of sample videos out there online. Just search “How to build Shed Base”.

Answer:
A foundation is not required, it has a floor. That said, if you fill it with heavy items it might sink in a grassy area. Might be better to install it on some pavers dug into your lawn.

Thank you for your interest in our products. All Rubbermaid Sheds are recommended to be built on a solid, level surface to ensure proper assembly and performance. A cement or patio surface, or a treated wood platform is recommended.

Hi Patricia, If the handle of lawnmower can fold up it probably will. Otherwise could be stored vertical BUT be aware of potential gas leaks if it is a gas mower.

Answer:
If you fold the handle then yes it should hold the lawn mower. Most lawn mower handles are secured using wing nuts. You can lose the wing nut just enough that the top hamdle bar can be folded towards the bottom. Some lawn movers are capable of standing vertically when stored. That would be a perfect candidate for this shed.

Answer:
The floor can be anchored, but the walls are slot connected to the floor. The shed would be gone if you had a tornado, hurricane or gale force high wind. You would loose the roof if it was anchored by the walls.

Yes and Yes. BeachBum you are quite wise to ask. It needs a good solid and level foundation. A wall behind to anchor to is a real plus. It really helps to screw the top of the shed from inside to a wall behind. Helps the doors to work easier.

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 201 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Standard Rubbermaid unit in a usable size for yard tools. All unions seem watertight and was east to assemble. I have a similar horizontal unit that has held up well for four years and I expect similar results with this one. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by perfect for our backyard storage I was a little concerned after reading some of the other reviews, but I was extremely pleased with this 3 ft x 4 ft large vertical storage shed. Price from Home Depot beat all others, some by $100. Sturdy quality, fairly easy to put together with 2 people, and it fit my space PERFECTLY. Home Depot carried the shelving hardware (although of course it would have been nice to come with it), and I was able to order rubbermaid hooks to hang the electrical cords. Doors were not warped, they snap tight and have an option to put a lock on. It keeps even the heavy rain and little salamanders out. July 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Garden Shed Light weight but sturdy, easy to assemble with two people. Stays dry during even heavy rain. The double doors are nice and latch tightly. Overall, a good bargain, but you'll need to get the extras; Hose hangers, long handle rake/shovel brackets, overhead hangers, etc. Some of the pre-drilled holes are off a bit, so don't tighten everything until all self-tapping screws are in place. Comes with 4 chrome U brackets for mounting adjustable shelf rails or a 4' x 4' pegboard. Great product for outdoor tool and/or garden shed. October 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Little Shed I needed a shed for my garden tools and this one was the perfect size. I was concerned about other reviews that mentioned quality and assembly issues. My shed was in good condition when it was delivered and went together in 15 minutes. I'm very satisfied. In my opinion you really need the optional storage hooks to get the most out of the shed which raises the cost. Still, I think it is a good value. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rubber maid shed 4 FT. X 2-1/2 FT. LARGE VERTICAL STORAGE SHED Needed some extra space to store the summertime umbrellas. This shed was perfect if the poles come apart half way up. Also enough room for some fold up chairs. It is easy to assemble (my wife and son put it together while I was away) and fits well in the space we had on the deck without being in the way. October 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Posh little storage cabinet We purchased this little resin storage cabinet to store our lawnmower and a few other yardcare items I wanted out of the garage. I'm pleased with how it looks and the functionality of the doors/roof/etc. It went together easily with two people on a flat surface-- probably took us between 30 - 40 minutes. The instructions are fairly clear and have good pictures. It is quite small, but we have a small space. It fits in the space wonderfully, and because our lawnmower has a removable handle, it folds up in there really nice. It's a little disappointing that it doesn't come with a shelf, but I suppose you can't have everything. The doors have little nubs at the bottom that help them "click" in place. It's only been outside for a couple months, but in that time, it has proven to be quite a sturdy little shed. October 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product For what it is, it's good. Doesn't replace a storage shed if that is what you need. a bit overpriced, but looks good. October 4, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Shelves are an issue I have to build an internal shelving structure to add shelves. They could have put some built-in ledges for the shelves, that would have been easier. September 13, 2016
