These are called "Twin Tracks". Are they sold by the pair? In the store, some were taped together and some were separate.

Answer:
They are called twin because they have two dual slots for the shelf brackets to insert into. This makes the shelving stronger. The ones with a single slot will not support heavier loads. Not sure why some are taped together - could be just for shipping. They are sold separately.

Answer:
The twin track uprights are called so because of the 'side by side' slots in the uprights to hold the brackets. Each upright is sold separately.

I wish to modify my previous answer: I have been buying these from Home Depot for years and never got fasteners with them. They were not wrapped and just stacked standing on their ends without hardware. The last two times I bought “Twin Track Uprights”, one time two short ones and another two full length, I asked the Home Depot employee about fasteners and he said they must be bought separately according to the kind you needed for your installation. This seemed reasonable as there are so many ways to mount them. Thus there would have to be so many different types of fasteners to meet all these mounting methods; so when Home Depot asked me to answer the question, answered the question reflecting my experience in purchasing them.
But! I see that Rubbermaid posted that they come with fasteners. All I can say is that has not been my experience. Anyway, even Rubbermaid confesses that they do not come with white fasteners and that was the question. Read Less

Including fasteners would be hard as there are so many ways these Twin Track Uprights are mounted. I just take a small brush and paint the heads of what ever type of fastener I am using.

Answer:
Yes. That should be sufficient for holding those brackets under that load, especially with the number of screws you seem to be putting in from that picture. You could always use #12 to be extra sure and they should still fit in the holes. At first I thought that 32" centers would be too far but given that your shelf is wood you will be fine.

Answer:
For just clothing, you could go every other stud (32" apart). However, it will also depend on the shelf material. If it is wood, that's fine. If its the wire rack you will probably want to go every stud (16"). The wire shelving, which is flexible will still hold with supports 32" apart, but it will bow (even under just clothes) and become bent over time.

Answer:
For maximum loading capacity and proper installation, uprights should be mounted to wall studs, which are typically located at 16" intervals. If wall studs cannot be located, utilize hollow wall anchors to mount the uprights.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 44 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Assembly I ordered 5 of these rails and 15 of the 11.5 inch shelf brackets and picked them up in store when we picked out some 1x12 common boards for our shelves. It took my husband and I an hour and a half to fully install them with the help of an electric drill with screwdriver attachment, level and stud finder. Half of that time was measuring and drilling and the other half was removing the stickers from each piece. we bought 2 inch white wood screws because hardware is not included and we drilled right into studs. I like that they let you chose the hardware you need for your own situation, and the Home Depot staff were helpful to make sure we bought the right hardware. We recommend this product to anyone looking for affordable shelving solutions. We like that we can change the layout of the shelves if the situation arises, and we hope to add a cable tray/shelf in the future. March 13, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Seriously? Seriously? It's am upright for a shelf system. OK, here's my comment... I should have looked at it closer before buying it. The mounting holes are too few and I'm concerned it may pull out from the wall in spite of the extra heavy anchors I used. Had to put something up that day otherwise I would have returned it.
