Shelf if of very good quality and seems very sturdy. I do not recommend trying to "link" the shelves together, stick with 4' widths.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0by Shoofly love it!, but how do you get the dang labels off??
Multi-purpose shelves and support bracket system are solid and good looking, and here's the but....Rubbermaid why do you make it almost impossible to take the labels off the shelves???? They are good looking and modern but not with labels. Fingernails can't readily get through the plastic coating so that a product like Goof -off might work, and I don't want to de-laminate the shelf by using hot water. Please tell me the secret!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0by lucidthinker Sturdy shelf with great depth
I like that this shelf is deep 16.5" vs. most other shelves which are like half this depth. I have tried the hair dryer trick to take the label off and it worked like a charm. Just turn on a hair dryer to high and wave it over the label for like a minute. This loosens the glue and allows you to pull the label off very easily.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0by LilRico Gets Bruised during shipping :-(
This shelf is very durable and will last a LONG time. The only problem comes in the way Rubbermaid ships it. They dont protect it very well and it gets scratched a lot through delivery. So it should look very pretty, however it was very bruised when I got it. They are easy to install and can hold a lot of things.

I need things visible to be organized so I chose these shelves rather than a closed cabinet. Installation was fairly easy but it took me longer than expected. I actually spray painted the metal rails to match the shelves and I like the look better. They're sturdy and I expect years of use from them.
