Can this be placed on a level gravel and sand base?

Asked by: Susanb
It MUST be placed on a level and strong base since it is a cheaper and weaker design than the next size up.

How hard is it to put up and how long does it take

Asked by: BSW
Easy to assemble, only took about 2 hours to install onto the base (very important to have a level base since this shed is cheaper construction).

What anchoring system is recommended? Is it compatible with all types?

Asked by: Frank
Thanks for your interest in our products. For a wood foundation, we recommend using a wood lag to anchor your shed. For a concrete foundation, we would recommend a Tapcon. For either a wood lag or Tapcon we suggest it measure 2 1/4" - 2 1/2" long and be used with a 1" washer.

I've had it for a few weeks. But there is a serious flaw with this shed. Once the shed is assembled and the padlock is secure, one could literally lift each edge of the roof and take the doors off with the padlock still on it. I had to use extra screws to attach the doors to the roof. Not good!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect dimensions for our space It was nice to have the right dimensions when ordering this shed, it fits great! Upside: attractive in my daughter in laws tiny yard. great color, no worrying about rust, keeps the weather off the contents, Downside: difficult to assemble. Foundation material has to be perfectly level or doors dont want to close. I mean perfectly level. Doors are flimsy, poorly designed. Whole shed would not do well in windy area, whole unit is not very stable. Not a problem for us because wind is not an issue and we have the shed surrounded by wooden fencing. perfect size for smaller spaces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shed Very easy to put together. My brother and I did it in about 1.5 hours. The instructions were clear to read and made it simple. I built a wooden platform using 2x4's that I anchored the shed into, which I would strongly recommend as the floor it comes with isn't very substantial as far as anchoring it goes. I could tell while putting it together that it was well designed and constructed. I've tried to go cheap in the past and got off-brand sheds and this one is so much better. Very happy, and I fit a ton of stuff in it. I went back to the store and bought an attic vent and cut a hole in the wall and installed a vent so the shed can breathe, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy-to-assemble! We bought this shed as a dog house for our three dogs to stay in at night. I plan to add a receptacle (for a light and winter/summer environment control), and a couple of vents for air flow. As I didn't have to build or prepare a foundation (placed it on an existing, level slab...which I recommend), assembly was easy and fast. It takes two to assemble, and we had it up and placed in under an hour. It's a bit pricey, but seems worth it.

Rubbermaid failed to include all pieces in the shipment, the box was missing a wall panel. I contacted Rubbermaid to let them know, and they offered to ship that out in 7-10 business days free of charge. Shed is a decent size, and with additional shelving will provide much more storage. Assembly was easy but does require 2 people. At this time we have not built a base to attach it to, but it is sitting on a concrete patio. Next spring we will most likely need to build a base and attach to withstand the Kansas winds. Have had only a couple of weeks, but thus far serves its purpose.
