I picked up the track, brackets and shelves. After marking where I wanted the track, temporarily screwing it to the wall, so I could mark all the faster locations. I easily install it by my self in less than an hour. Great product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jamesdiy Great way to support heavy shelf loads
My only issue with this product is the ability to obtain the manufacturer supplied screws to fix to underlying wall studs. However, other manufacturers who market similar systems have connectors that can potentially meet the needed pullout strengths. Aside from this relatively minor issue, I have found I can easily assemble adjustable shelves fully packed with books, records and other heavy materials safely, economically and still remain aesthetically acceptable.

I don't understand the reviews complaining about the lack of instructions. The installation and usage of the Twin Track system is obvious. The twin tracks have round holes at each end and spaced across the length. This is where the screws go to mount them to the wall. Like anything, it's best to screw them into wall studs. If you can't find the studs or they're inconveniently located, use any of the many styles of drywall screws instead. The brackets clip easily onto the tracks. The shelves sit on the brackets.

I needed a couple of shelves in my galley kitchen so decided on track shelving. When I purchased the tracks, I noticed the hardware package and decided to purchase it. I initially couldn't determine how the expanders were inserted and it was not described on the packet. Looked through the reviews to see if someone else had a solution. Found a comment by Rachael that described the solution. Fold the wings inward and insert into a 7/32 drilled hole. Worked perfectly and the tracks and shelves went up in no time at all.

I don't get all of the whining about the lack of instructions. I'm not the most handy of people, but it's easy to figure out. It's easy to find brackets with holes in them to anchor the shelves to the brackets. The brackets hold a good bit of weight. I put both my kids (ages 8 & 4) on the shelf to make sure it would hold.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PeterD Odd placement of screw hole for fastening shelf to bracket to prevent sliding off
This is a good shelf bracket, it looks sturdy, The only thing I don't like is there is no screw hole near the tip for fastening the shelf to the bracket. There are holes closer to the track which can be used but require long screws. Don't understand this and there are no instructions included or available online explaining how to keep the shelf from moving. I have installed 15 of these so far and the labels have not been a problem.

So the picture for the hardware really doesn't explain what to do. You need to bend the anchor in on itself to form that point. I used a 7/32 drill bit to make the hole. Then worked the folded point of the anchor in a little by hand and hammered it in the rest of the way (you want it to be tight). You then proke the black piece into the hole to open up the anchor. You might need to hammer that a bit too but mostly i was able to push it in and hear the anchor pop open. Then just screw in the metal piece. Very easy once you figure it out! Why they couldn't tell you this somewhere i have no idea! !
