These did the trick to hold my home made book shelves. Beware: to properly affix these to the wall you will need to purchase an extra set of screws. Only half the number of required screws are included in the package, hence the four star review.

It's a simple bracket shelf. Installation was easy and it looks good. Not much more you can say about a shelf bracket.

Like this product. It was a back up to ones I really wanted in white. Turns out these brackets look classy and are very solid. I am pleased with purchasing them.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Roadsryder Pretty design, too small
I really liked how the product looked but I did not anticipate it being so short/small. It will work great as a small shelf holder but not what I had originally planned for it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SteveInKaty Perfect for what we needed.
Wife wanted to install a shelf behind our sofa in the living room. Shelf units like what we wanted were too expensive. 4 of these brackets and a cedar plank, and now we have the perfect shelf.
Bracket can be reversed so long or short side can hold the shelf. Also, the hole pattern in the bracket (one circular screw hole and one keyhole type slot) make installation very easy.

So easy to install and they really improve the look of my shelves. Going to install them in other rooms as well.

Found these brackets easy to install-- though it might be wise for Rubbermaid to include a short set of directions for those consumers of a beginning skill level.
The finish is flawless, and the brackets themselves are fairly beefy, so you have to insure you mount them to studwork, or at the very least use wall anchors with the screws provided.
And it's much easier to mount the shelving to the brackets first-- drill a tiny pilot hole in the underside of the shelf to more easily attach the bracket with the provided screws; THEN install the assembled setup to the wall.
The finished project has a nice transitional styling that looks great in any decor, and is strong enough for displaying both small and large items.
