6 in. L x 8 in. H Bronze Steel Celtic Scroll Decorative Shelf Bracket is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 81.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Here is how I installed them As many others have pointed out, the packaging says that there are instructions online, but there aren't any. I see many people here have struggled with the installation, so I will say what worked for me, and I thought it was pretty easy. If you are trying to tighten the screws with the bracket already on the wall and you don't know how you can possibly tighten it because your screwdriver can't get in, you're doing it wrong, so read below. 1) Find the stud in your wall where you'll be mounting the bracket using a stud finder. 2) Use a 3/32" drill bit to make a pilot hole where you want the top hole of the bracket. 3) Drill the long screw into the pilot hole that you just made, but don't drill it all the way to the wall. Leave just a little bit of space. 4) CRITICAL STEP: The short end of the bracket is the side that will mount on the wall. The top hole is shaped like a keyhole, with the large part of the keyhole bigger than the head of the screw. Place the keyhole over the head, and slide the bracket down over the gap that you left in step 3 so that the bracket is supported by the screw shaft. If the gap is too tight for you slide the bracket on, then take it off and screw it out a little bit to increase the gap. If the gap is too much and the bracket wiggles, then take it off and tighten the screw to reduce the gap. You might have to repeat this a few times until you have a nice, snug fit. 5) Use a level to make sure the bracket is perfectly straight and make a pencil mark in the center of the bottom hole. 6) Move the bottom of the bracket away and drill a 3/32" pilot hole where you made the mark. 7) Line the bracket back up and screw in another long screw. The bracket is now secure to the wall. 8) Use a level on top of the shelf and hold the shelf by hand to position the second bracket so that the shelf is perfectly level. Mark the position of the top hole with a pencil. 9) Mount the second bracket following steps 2-7. 10) Center the shelf on the two brackets and mark the positions of the screw holes on the shelf with a pencil. Take down the shelf. 11) Make 3/32" pilot holes, taking care not to drill all the way through the shelf. 12) Similar to step 4, take off the shelf and drill the small screws into the rear holes, but not all the way in, and adjust as needed until the shelf fits snugly onto the keyhole on the brackets. 13) Drill the remaining short screws into the front part of the shelf through the small hole on the bracket. You're done!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impossible to install properly We ended up returning these brackets and purchasing another brand because they were impossible to install properly due to where the holes for the screws were located. There was no way to get a drill or screw driver at the correct angle. Also there weren't enough screws in the package for the holes in the bracket. They looked really nice though. Oh, and on the package, there are no instructions. Just a sticker that says go to www.rubbermaid.com for installation instructions. And then when you go to the site and find these brackets, it says there are no online instructions for these ones. Frustrating.

Simple design that doesn't take up too much usable space under the shelf. Only complaint is that the bracket is slightly arched along the long side so it didn't sit flat against the shelf initially. After applying a load to the shelf, the bracket flattened out. Mounting the long side of the bracket to the shelf tightly should also allow it to straighten out. I used these to create a collapsible shelf in my closet so the long side of the bracket is not actually attached to the shelf (see picture).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Easy to install! I bought the 2 curl style (not currently pictured on the website). I found the mirrorEd installation of putting the first screw where you wanted the bracket, sliding the bracket on then securing with the second screw before repeating with the shelf itself quick and efficient. Did a whole wall of custom shelves in 4 hours (by myself with cutting the wood as I went along).

We used these with some black melamine shelves, and they look great- just decorative enough, without being too fussy. Bonuses: they're really, really sturdy, and come with installation hardware, so there's no need to purchase screws separately. I would highly recommend these. :)

Rubbermaid uses the same part number for this bracket, as the part number of the bronze one. I bought several based on part number, only to learn they didn't match. Pressed for time, I installed these on the lowest shelf, where most people won't notice. High quality material, and sturdy enough for decorative work. Easy to install.
