As compared to the dual track, what is the load capacity for both? And if you install a dual track, do you have to use the dual track shelf brackets?

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in our products. With proper installation each upright can hold up to 300lbs regardless of the size of the uprights. Yes, the twin track brackets are to be used with the twin track uprights. For more specific information on weight capacities please call Rubbermaid Consumer Care at 888-895-2110, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday.

Installation of Rubbermaid FG4B9200WHT Single Track Upright

My kitchen cupboard shelves use this upright track. They are installed using a staple that attaches using the dual-hole configuration on the upright. Once installed, the staples are flush with the upright. I am building cabinets for the laundry room. I could use a screw or nail but they would extend out from the upright and not be flush so I would prefer using staples. Unfortunately, nobody at Home Depot could tell me where to buy such staples. I bought a staple gun thinking that would work; but the standard staples are too wide. Is there a special tool for installation of the uprights by means of staples?

Answer:
Rubbermaid Single Track Uprights should be installed using the Single Track Hardware Kit which does use screws. We dd not have staples for the Single Track System.

Answer:
The 4B92 is not a twin rail wall mounted rail. It is part of the Rubbermaid Strips and Clips to be used for mounting shelves in a cabinet.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product inadequate instructions No instructions on spacing of fasteners for upright supports could be found. Also note that the drywall fasteners Rubbermaid supplies require a "key" tool to properly install. There are no instructions in the Hardware Pack as to how to install the wall anchors and there was no "key" tool included. The wall anchors are useless without the "key". I wasted a couple of anchors and several hours figuring out how to install the drywall anchors. The wall anchor installation information is found in the assembly instructions on the Rubbermaid web site. Also note that the 16 inch deep free slide wardrobe shelving uses a 12 inch support bracket NOT a 16 inch. November 27, 2010
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible bracket design I puzzled and puzzled on how to lay the shelf flat on the brackets while following the instructions, and then went online to see if I could find any help - what I found was that part of the bracket sits above the shelf, therefore creating unusable shelf space. Why would a shelf system design call for brackets to breech shelf space?!? Makes no sense to me. Now that they are installed, I will keep them. Overall the design is great with the exception of these ridiculous brackets that will interfere with the organization and limit what I can do with the shelf space. Not happy. May 7, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Previous Reviews I'm confused by the comments in previous reviews. A small bit of the bracket sticks up at the back of the shelf. The front of the bracket also fits through the lip of the shelf. This is an ingenious improvement to the previous design. The fact that the back wire fits into the bracket and the front point of the bracket threads throught he shelf stabilizes the shelves. I am 60+ years old and a professor/psychologist and I have easily installed systems in four large bedroom closets, a coat closet, and a pantry. We are currently remodeling and I plan to add more of these shelves in the garage and linen closets. The systems are easy to install, extremely flexible, easy to keep clean, and easy to reconfigure as needs change. Thank you! June 18, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Big Max Shed We bought the Big Max Shed last Fall; this spring we wanted to organise it with shelves!! What an exercise in frustration between Home Depot and Rubbermaid, none the shelving units descriptions clearly say they are for use in the Big Max or any plastic shed. The FastTrack system recommended is meant for a garage or places where it can be screwed into a wall. The last thing you what to do is screw holes through plastic shed walls, not enough integral strength in the walls and it would create potential leakage problems. We need a system that will easily screw to the u shaped hooks that came with the unit and plug into the wall sections, either the rails or the uprights so we can set up shelves. Any one had any success and can recommend product numbers? This year we saw some sheds that had the uprights screwed into the joins in the wall sections that in which would be great. If you want to organise the Big Max be prepared to spend $$$ on free standing shelve units which may or may not be the best solution. July 9, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by incompatible I bought the Rubbermaid FastTrack uprights to use as shelf supports in my newly purchased Rubbermaid shed (as recommended in shed installation instructions) and they are impossible to use in the shed. The hanging brackets included with the shed are not deep enough to install with the fasttrack uprights. I do not know why Rubbermaid recommends a product that does not work. March 12, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad The same as the previous user. I bought a Rubbermaid Big Max shed with instructions on how to install the the Rubbermaid shelfs and they are incompatible! The brackets aren't long enough. July 23, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lousy Design The shelving does not fit easily on the supports and the supports extend past the wire mesh, so whatever is stored on them, hits (bumps) the part of the brackets that supports the wire mesh. August 10, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mounting instructions poor I could not find any good mounting instructions for the uprights that specified the distance each should be from one another. If you will be using or installing any of the pull-out draws you need to distance each upright by 23 1/2 inches. January 4, 2010
