These are nice and fit for purpose. They are the bog standard thing to have for the rubbermaid shelving. However, when you order in large quantities to your home they are sent by freight company (even for just a few). This means it is a bit of a faff to receive it (must schedule a pick up time, etc.)

The only thing that would make this better is if it was attachable to the shelf. Otherwise it's as described and served it's purpose.

I've had this system up for several years now and it is holding up great. The brackets are snug so there is no wobbling. The boards have remained straight. We used wall anchors to make sure it could hold the load of electronic equipment (routers, APS, sound systems, etc) as well as other office supplies. As far as something trivial as removing the stickers, peel carefully or purchase an inexpensive bottle of label remover.

I needed a couple of shelves in my galley kitchen so decided on track shelving. When I purchased the tracks, I noticed the hardware package and decided to purchase it. I initially couldn't determine how the expanders were inserted and it was not described on the packet. Looked through the reviews to see if someone else had a solution. Found a comment by Rachael that described the solution. Fold the wings inward and insert into a 7/32 drilled hole. Worked perfectly and the tracks and shelves went up in no time at all.

I don't understand the reviews complaining about the lack of instructions. The installation and usage of the Twin Track system is obvious. The twin tracks have round holes at each end and spaced across the length. This is where the screws go to mount them to the wall. Like anything, it's best to screw them into wall studs. If you can't find the studs or they're inconveniently located, use any of the many styles of drywall screws instead. The brackets clip easily onto the tracks. The shelves sit on the brackets.

I don't get all of the whining about the lack of instructions. I'm not the most handy of people, but it's easy to figure out. It's easy to find brackets with holes in them to anchor the shelves to the brackets. The brackets hold a good bit of weight. I put both my kids (ages 8 & 4) on the shelf to make sure it would hold.

My husband and I spent hours putting up twin tracks in my daughters room. We wanted a wall of shelves. We finally went to put the shelf on and realized that we could not secure the "wood" shelves to the brackets. Useless waste of time. We are removing everything and returning it all. Now I will have to putty and paint a whole wall.

So the picture for the hardware really doesn't explain what to do. You need to bend the anchor in on itself to form that point. I used a 7/32 drill bit to make the hole. Then worked the folded point of the anchor in a little by hand and hammered it in the rest of the way (you want it to be tight). You then proke the black piece into the hole to open up the anchor. You might need to hammer that a bit too but mostly i was able to push it in and hear the anchor pop open. Then just screw in the metal piece. Very easy once you figure it out! Why they couldn't tell you this somewhere i have no idea! !
