Customer Questions & Answers

Can the shed be assembled by one person?

Asked by: MikeH
Yes it can be, but it would be better with another person when putting the (2) support bars for the roofing.

DO I NEED TO INSTALL A WOODEN OR CEMENT BASE FIRST BEFORE I PUT TOGETHER MY SHED?

Asked by: SHEDSTALLER
Yes. Both Rubbermaid and Home Depot personnel said as much. Both cement or wood will be fine. Been said before, but the easiest ( and solid ) wood structure is 4" x 4" base with 3/4" plywood, all pressure treated. The dimensions are 84" wide, 86" deep. Home Depot will cut all your pieces to size so all you have to do is level the ground, square it up, level it off, and then screw it together. You'll need 2 pcs. 84" long, and 5 pcs 79" long for the 4 x 4's. The 84" pcs. are your front and back pieces, the 79" pcs go in between them. I used joists for the middle and two inside support pcs. The 3/4" ply gets screwed down to the frame pieces, and your done. Solid as could be, square and level.

does this unit have any air ventilation

Just worried about storing a lawn mower and gas lawn eq with not ventilation. Anyone know how this compares to suncast?
Asked by: sparks
I built 99.9% of it by myself. It wasn't bad. I needed someone to push the final triangle roof piece down while I screwed it in from the inside. I had my friend stop by for 10-15 minutes to hold it down and it was done. Hope this helps!

Big Max 7 ft. x 7 ft. Storage Shed is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 98.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Went together easily except.... Went together easily except instruction were soaking wet and it is 30 degrees today and the pages froze together. The paper on the windows were very difficult to remove. The worst was the 2 bars for the roof were to long by 1/4 " making it impossible to install the lower roof panels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Assembles easily This shed goes together fast and easy. I'm renting, so I needed something that isn't permanent and i can disassemble and move in three years . I built a wooden deck as the base using 2 X 6's. Deck build time was 3 1/2 hours with a buddy and shed build time was 3 1/2 hours by myself. I wish I would have opened the box the night before and put the windows together in my living room, it's time consuming. I'm in Guam, so in a few we'll see how it holds up to typhoons, but after a heavy rain with decent wind wind, it's still bone dry inside. I definitely recommend this for an easy, quick, and fairly inexpensive storage option.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from like this shed My wife and I spent 4 hrs to build this shed. we like it very much and finaly have space to store the tools. Althogh our English is still imrpoving, the instraction explains everything in details. We do not need to read any word but following photos on the manual step by step. There is only one thing that is a little bit disappointed me. Rubbermaid's accessories are only sold in USA, so we are not able to buy any Rubbermaid's hook or part and have to leave everything on the floor. As this shed is made by plastic, we cannot put any screw on neither. Hope this plastic shed could survive the horrible winter in Canada.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Windows are a pain to do The 4 walls were easy to set up no screws needed just click and go but the windows you have to peel the sticker off of them and that took forever considering they didn't rip off completely it tore every time you pulled the roof was the challenging part it takes 2 people but I would recommend 3 all in all took about 4 hours 30 minutes didn't come included with shelves but the shelves hooks were included? And one of my windows came cracked from the middle but it wasn't too bad

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice shed with easy assembly Great looking shed with great storage and was easy to assemble. One and only problem was losing screws due to not initially having magnetic screw driver drill. The manual was very help and made the install go smoothly. Overall install time with assistance was ~4 hours. Make sure to prep well prior to install, including making sure the ground or pad is level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No prob! Shed survived 70 mph straight-line wind! Assembly went smoothly. 2 1/2 hours with two people. We used a little trick for the roof beam screws… We put a dab of caulking on the Phillips head screws so they wouldn't fall into the beam. We did not lose a single screw.
