The back panels are not snapping into the floor.

The floor to my Big Max Junior storage shed does not allow the back panels to snap in - they just sit on top of the floor. I don't think the floor is right, the part# is J5H51-2 instead of J5H51 in the instructions. Does that make a difference? We tried for 2 hours and still no luck.

Answer:
This is tricky Thomas. Rubbermaid does not offer racks that slide into pre-made holes in the walls of the Big Max Jr. shed. They do for the Max Shed so don't be confused. According to their website you will have to purchase wall anchors to be able to attach anything to the walls. Here is what I found.

My Big Max Jr. is 1S85 but you need to double check your # to make sure you get the correct anchor.
To purchase wall anchors, please contact our Consumer Service Department at 888-895- 2110; they accept Visa and MasterCard. When calling, please have the part number molded into either door panel available.
Hope this helps.

Big Max Junior 3.5 ft. x 7 ft. Storage Shed is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 102.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shed Needed something to put yard tools and mower in to free up space in my garage. Home Depot had it in stock, brought it home, built a wood deck and leveled it. The shed went together really well, instructions are very clear and easy. The bottom panels are pretty hard to snap to the floor like other reviews had noted but I weigh 200 lbs. and I could hang all my weight on the panels and bounce a little and they would finally pop in, definately takes two people to put roof panels in. Took me and my wife about two hours too assemble and we love it. Note, it needs to be perfectly level in every direction though or the doors will not line up correctly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Purchase Ever I purchased this shed to replace an old metal shed that was in my back yard. The item was delivered in a timely manner and left under my carport. I took half a day off work so that I could put it together. I got through two steps and then had to stop my progress due to the back walls not snapping in to the floor like the instructions say they should do. So the next day I called Rubbermaid customer service and was told that I had the incorrect instructions and the ones online were not correct either so she would email me a copy of the correct instructions. After a few hours I still had not received these new instructions so I called again and was told that the previous rep I spoke with had to get the correct instructions from someone else but that I would get them that day. I checked my email the next day and still had not received an email with the correct instructions. So once again I called Rubbermaid CS and spoke with yet another person. At this time I was told that there were no correct instructions in existence and that they could send me a picture of what the bottom of the sides look like so that I can see where the screws go in at. This was very upsetting considering that I had been told by two previous reps that I would be sent the correct instructions. I returned the item to Home Depot with no hassle and will not be purchasing a Rubbermaid shed ever again. I got stuck with the shipping fees but at least I got what I paid for the shed returned. Home Depot never hassled me about the return. I will never purchase a Rubbermaid product. How can you sell a product without the correct instructions in the box???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As Expected! Received as expected, took about 3 hours to lay foundation and put together. Just make sure to follow the directions. Overall I am pleased with the outcome! With some of the negative reviews I was a little leery but had no issues and did it all by myself too so am not sure if those people read the directions correctly or tried to cut corners. I fell this will hold up very well for what I am using it for (I do have a smaller cabinet from rubbermaid that I have had for over 15 years and that is still holding up well. For the price of this unit I fell it is well worth the money!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another Good roduct from Rubbermaid After reading the specs on line & on the box, we were surprised by the actual dimensions required - while the shed is 3.5' X 7' (or 42"X84") we found we actually needed 46" X 87" with base and overhang on roof. We also chose to install a base of 1/2" exterior plywood over 4"X6" framing under the floor - makes ir really solid. The brackets for installing shelves and hangers are great - managed to install a bar with hooks for lawn tools & a pegboard for smaller items as well as a free-standing shelf set.. This is an up-size from and earlier 2' X 4' Rubeermaid shed, and I expect to get the same service from it. It went together quite easily, with only a bit of fiddling to get the roof panels snapped on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money Well Spend My wife and me put the shed together in 3 hrs. and 20 minutes complete. The only problem we had, and I might add it was a minor problem, was lining up the shed roof in contact with the slotted portion to the sides, top, and back of the gable tops. Other than that, it was a piece of cake. Very good instructions and pictures to follow for the construction of the shed. Well satisfied with the product and the looks of it. Would definately recommend it to anybody. And the price was VERY compatible.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fitment of pieces leaves much to be desired. I picked two of these storage sheds at my local Home Depot. As most reviewers have already mentioned, make sure you assemble this on a concrete surface. Trying to assemble this on dirt or gravel will make the job immeasurably more difficult. Have at least 2 people, a rubber mallet, and a small stool or ladder for the assembly. The side and front walls snap into the base. The back walls do not. Overall, the fitment of the plastic is fair-poor, and the pieces do not interlock with eachother sufficiently to make a sturdy storage. Furthermore, the doors can be pulled straight out of the frame with little effort. This can be remedied with a power drill and some screws, but I felt that the Rubbermaid shed leaves much to be desired, especially when considering that these things are $500 each. I kept both my units to avoid the hassle of disassembling, reloading, and returning to HD, but if I were to shop again for a storage shed, I would want a product with better finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I had read all the reviews and looked at the video as to how to put it together and with the help... I had read all the reviews and looked at the video as to how to put it together and with the help of my friendly neighbor, we two women put this together in about 2 hours. there are a few things that if the design were different would make putting it together a little easier. The panel marked "D'" was printed upside down and backwards which made us pause. this panel is hard to get your hands on as you are trying to slide it into the back seam and you need to hold it up and there is no place to grip. if this had in the mold a place for your hands you could lift it and slide it into place with a bit more ease. We managed it but with a little frustration. It does say two person assembly and you do need two people. When assembled and looking at the front- the right door would be easier to secure into the left door if there was a place to grip the door and pull it into place and you do need a lock to keep the doors closed. I am quite happy with the shed as we needed to organize the tools and it does the job beautifully. Reading the directions and understanding them was pretty easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very functional and useful shed Picked up unit at store. Had help loading it but had to unload it in my driveway by myself. Packaging was slightly damaged and small blemish on one panel. It was too heavy for me to carry box to place of installation so I opened the box and carried it piece by piece to back yard. Assembly was straight forward and I followed directions to the letter. I did it by myself but two would have been better. No problems. Looks great! I cut plywood for attic shelving using dimensions in manual. Should have been at least 1/2" longer for safety. I wish the store carried more accessories for hanging items and wall shelving in stock.
