Hi! Will my 8ft surfboard fit in here if I place it on an angle? Thank you!
Asked by: Coco
Probably. Measuring the diagonal distance in my building from floor corner to ceiling corner, I measured right at 9 feet. The floor distance from back to front is 3 feet so it seems like it should fit.

And I am very capable of following instructions. If you do not have a perfectly level surface, do not get this shed....and I mean perfectly level. The roof did not snap down and the doors pop out because even though the level says the ground is level there is a slight slope in the terrain. What I like about the product is why I chose it in the first place. It will last, keep the elements and critters out. It also came damaged. I did not send it back because it was cosmetic, and if I did not put them up, I would have delayed other work that was being done in that part of the yard.

I also ordered two accessory items to hang tools up inside the shed. When I started to attach them I was unable to do it. I called the number listed on the sheet for Rubbermaid and was told those accessories do not fit in the Big Max Jr.. Your website does not included information that the items don't work for that shed. I was very disappointed, called the store in Tehachapi and was told they would refund my money. I decided I can attach them to my garage wall and hang things in there, but I did have the option to return them.

This product worked well for our intended purpose - a paint storage building. We chose a Rubbermaid product because we have used their storage buildings in the past and they are fairly easy to assemble. Be sure to read the instructions before starting - the use of dishwashing soap as a lubricant is a great idea and really helps with the assembly. Having a solid foundation is a must - you need a level hard surface for erecting the building. We used 12" x 12" patio stones for our foundation and they work great. Would definitely recommend this product.

We were unable to get all the tabs to click in....even after using soapy water and hammering on the shed in strategic places via a 2x4. The roof of the shed overhangs a couple inches in back (just like in front) so the shed can't sit flush against a building. We ran into a garage roof corbel when installing the right side of the shed roof as the roof panel must be raised up 45 degrees from level to slide into its groove. The shed seems to be waterproof and fairly sturdy. We figure it will hold 20 of those black plastic bins with yellow lids, with 4 across the bottom of the shed. Had to lay down a piece of plywood under the middle two bins to raise them up slightly in order to stagger the lids. All in all we are pretty happy with the shed. We didn't want sky lights or windows as they could potentially leak. Basic storage was all we needed.

They make high quality and easy to build products. Our installation site isn't level so we built a foundation out of 4x4 PT timbers and laid a piece of 4x8' plywood on top of the timbers. Leveling the 4x4's and cutting the plywood to fit the base of the shed was probably the most time consuming part of the project. At that point, the shed walls, doors and roof snapped or slid together. The whole construction process took maybe two hours total. In short, the shed works great for storing a lawn mower and a variety of lawn tools like rakes, chainsaws and the like. Recommend tackling this project with another person ... it's more fun and some of the steps are easier with another person.

Delivered on a pallet by freight company, so not dented or anything. Snaps together without screws. I made a level pad out of stepping stones to put it on.
