Answer:
You can also push it. It is necessary to install the front wheels in the groove so that they don't rotate when you push the cart.

You can push it. The handle locks in different positions so it works either way even though the wheels on the non-handle end are fixed.

Answer:
I use this cart primarily for pushing my tools (200+ lbs) around the job site. You will find that having the swiveling wheels on the back makes it easier to maneuver around when fully loaded. If you really have to have the front wheels swivel then it would be a simple matter of swapping them around.

Answer:
I discovered that HD carries casters that are compatible. Any caster with the required hole spacing will work, in this case 1 - 3/4" x 3". HD has these casters in the store with 250 lb capacity. For mounting screws, I used something like #12 x 1" pan head wood screws with flat washers. I now have a 1000 lb cart!

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 40 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great This is working great in our office thinking of buying another one soon. September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rubbermaid Cart Needed a cart to hold my 96 pound Bauer Oceanus scuba compressor. This cart fit the bill perfectly. Those who don't like all four casters to swivel, you can lock the front two using the molded in "stops" on the bottom of the platform. Position the compressor properly and the handle will fold down out of the way. A great buy at $65. September 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for college move-in/out Only needed a mallet for assembly then ready to use. Folds flat for easy storage. Fits in a car trunk. We used it to move two college students into their dorms and was much better than a hand truck. August 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great mid sized cart Great medium sized cart that can handle heavy loads well and is very durable. Fold flat handle allows for easy storage. Easy to pull, but a bit awkward to push. Make sure the package contains the wheels. Sometimes the package of wheels falls out. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by At my age, this is one of the best things I have purchased. I am 70 years old with a lot of medical issues and I was moving into Senior Housing. I was very limited what I was able to do but if I wouldn't have had the cart I wouldn't have been able to do anything. It handles large loads very easily and is very well constructed. I would strongly recommend this to anyone that had to move any amount of larger items. August 9, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good, but doesn't steer straight and needs a brake Love the compactness, ease of use, and price. However, it doesn't have a brake which is definitely needed to prevent it escaping while loading it. Also, not sure if I just got a lemon, but it doesn't steer straight - goes sideways like the occasional shopping cart. June 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stronger than it looks I bought 2 of these carts from Home Depot years ago and have been trying my hardest to beat them up. I even strapped my Yamaha upright piano on one of them when we moved our family. It doesn't look strong enough to handle that but it did without a hiccup. I use them almost every weekend to move large speakers and heavy amplifier racks. It's not uncommon for me to have a 300-400 pound load on one of these carts. September 3, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Can Only Be Pulled This cart can not be pushed forward. Very awkward when you have to get in and out of a tight office with no room to turn around. Make sure you have a piece of metal rod or pipe and a BIG hammer to attached the wheels. About equal to driving a medium stake in hard soil. Great stress reliever though (putting wheels on, not using the product). January 4, 2016
