Having a multi-unit property I have had one of these for 9 years. This is a 45G which is no longer legal to use in Canada because of the volume. This can was my favourite problem solver. Bags that have sharp objects sticking out or cat littered bags falling apart. Garbage from renovations, broken glass furniture with nails or screws in the wood. No punctures, just cuts from a circular saw from using it as a saw-horse. Tenants move in and out and leave their cans behind. After a year they are usually finished and have to be cut up and put in the Brute container that came with the building. I bought 3 32G cans last year because I was running out of Garbage cans. No need for pictures, the new ones are still mint, if that is the right word to use for a garbage can.
I bet two of these could hold up my car.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by TrashCanReviewer Lid is a breeding ground for mosquitoes
The trash can is made of really good quality plastic and the cover sits tight. However, the flat topped trash can lid with concave inset accumulates water after it rains. In warm summers this is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Do not buy this product if you want to keep your backyard mosquito free. Buy a trash can with a dome shaped lid. See the attached picture.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GarbageMan The Best!!
I have been a Garbage Man for nine years and have NEVER seen a broken Brute trash can. During the winter months, just about every can in the market breaks from freezing. They shatter like glass. Brute trash cans are the only cans that survive super hot Summers, and sub- zero Winters. They take the beating of being filled, emptied, dragged, dropped, slammed into metal to free frozen trash and thrown for many, many years. I am so confident in the can that I made an account on here just to help people in their purchase. I also own Brute myself. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! !

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Erick Excellent Structure and Built Tough
I used this can to create a dry well. The material is thick and the can held its structure despite drilling several holes in it. I can only imagine that if it is able to hold up under these unusual conditions, that it can do its intended job.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chris The best cans I've ever owned
These cans are the sturdiest garbage cans I have ever used. I have had other cheaper cans in the past whose handles break after trying to drag a heavier load of trash to the curb. These guys stand up to everything.
I ran over one of the lids and didn't do the slightest bit of damage to it. They're triple the price of most garbage cans but I have no doubt they'll last more than 4 times longer. I just have to make sure one of my neighbors doesn't decide to "borrow" them.

I bought three to hold garden soil and potting mixes. They're great for that. They are strong and appear to be durable. Not five stars though. Five stars are reserved for the Rubbermaid trash cans they replaced.

This trash can is working out exactly as planed so far. As long as it holds up to daily use like I expect I will get another one when that time comes.
