Very Nice Mailbox but the doors are not as tight as I would like them to be. Maybe it was my error when putting it together, which was more difficult than it looked, but really wish the parts were tighter and more secure. Overall a very nice looking mailbox.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KnoxCop Easy install, tough and beautifully made!
I'm not sure which mailbox others are getting, because this has to be the easiest DIY project ever! I went into HD, dropped a single bag of QuiKrete into the cart, headed to mailboxes and got this one. I then had a gentleman in the lumber department cut a 4x4 to the proper length for me. Zoomed home, dug the hole, drilled the screws into the 4x4 post, squeezed the sides together a bit to have them line up with the post part, screwed that together--and I was ready to install. NOTE: If you're working alone, be prepared to squeeze the box together a bit to have the holes line up. There's a REASON FOR THIS--It adds to the sturdy lock on of the box to the post piece. Mixed the concrete in a bucket, poured it into the hole and held the mailbox there for a few minutes until it set up. I didn't know about the back door feature it has until I got it out of the box. We have to cross the road to get the mail, so that will never be used, but is nice if your box is in your own yard. Has a nice slot for the paper to remain dry and off the street, and it looks beautiful! Seals nicely when the door is closed, too. I got the mocha because it works with the area. There's a white version available only on line...I can easily see this lasting ten yrs or more. It's a tough and beautifully made product. I would expect nothing less from Rubbermaid. As always, I'm impressed with HD's customer service. The gentleman in lumber was happy to cut my post as needed, and all around it was just a good experience. Highly recommended!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Planoplanter Excellent product, this is my second one!
I am delighted with my new mailbox and post combo. It looks great and was so easy to put up! No problems what-so-ever, plus I never have to paint it. This is the second one of these mailboxes I have purchased. I had one at a previous house I owned. I was delighted to get a chance to buy another one just like it only a little larger. I now have a place for my paper or small packages to be in out of the rain. This is a great product and I recommend it highly!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Laurie079 Very nice looking but....
.....if it happens to be a breezy day then both doors open and your mail blows right out. I thought this would be a great mailbox.....looks great, love having a door in the front and back and the opening for a newspaper, plus the mail compartment is pretty big.....then I noticed that the tabs on the sides that are suppose to hold the doors closed don't even touch the door so basically nothing is keeping the doors closed.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by sweetmerry Assembly was too difficult
Very few parts and easy-to-read instructions that give the impression that assembly will be a breeze. Unfortunately none of the holes for the screws were pre-punched and the plastic parts had to be carved out with a knife to make them snap together (which they never did). The finished mailbox is unstable on the post, but it looks good, so I hope someone doesn't discover that they can knock it off with a simple shove. I had to enlist the help of someone with better tools than those called for in the instructions, since the plastic is quite hard to punch through or carve out. I should have taken the mailbox back for an exchange, but after my neighbor put in 2 hours of frustrating work, I didn't want to make him feel like all that time he spent was wasted. Check the parts carefully before you begin assembly. Hopefully, mine was just a bad lemon and not typical of the product.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Airaduda Better get Duck Tape ready
This mailbox assembles in 7, yes 7 pieces. I wondered why the box was small. I'm going to return it because it is cheaply made. Rough edges cut your finger when opening the newspaper slot and on other areas of the unit. Looks like it should have been sanded/trimmed or something before putting it in the box. Certainly not "Rubbermaid" quality.
I'm not confident it would stand up to one snow plow projectile. It is going back!

We were having problems with the postman jamming mail into old mailbox and tearing mail. This works fine and no more problems with that, plus it is large enough for mail and has a place for newspaper delivery underneath. A little difficult to put together. It didn't line up correctly so that the doors will close properly, so had to take it apart and redo. Once that was done it worked well.
