These are great bins
But I put too much in.
I cram the lid closed, it still locks in place
I shake my head, surprised look on my face.
It handles my stuff with relative ease
So of course I have more than one of these
I have one filled with cables and straps
Another’s overloaded with metal scraps
I don't know how it handles that weight
It's amazing what they accommodate
They’re easy to carry and easy to store
They consolidate your stuff
So that you can buy more!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Elvis Best tote I found
Found this tote and it was the perfect fit for carrying my office printer in my truck. Not the cheap clear type I saw at other stores. Very happy with my purchase.

My Sailboat came with very little storage, but by simply insetting the tote I was able to make a large flush mounted storage area under my galley seat.
First step was to cut a sheet of material (plywood, starboard etc) the same size as my galley seat, then I simply placed the roughneck container upside down on the plywood and traced the outer lip of the roughneck container.
(it's very important in the next step to only cut the plywood as you need the original seat intact)
I then used a jig saw to follow that tracing and cut out an opening for the tote in the plywood, do your best to keep the piece you cut out intact as it will serve as the new cover for the tote when done.
Next step was to cut a hole in the original fiberglass seat for the tote to drop into, BUT the hole has to be smaller than the first in order for the tote lip to have a place to rest on.
How much smaller you may ask, I decided to make the opening 20mm smaller, so using the hole in the plywood as a guide I marked a line on the original fiberglass seat 10mm smaller all the way around.
This made my tracing 20mm less long and 20mm less wide than the previous cut I made in the plywood, I then used my jig saw while wearing a dust mask and goggles to cut the new opening in the original fiberglass seat.
My final step was to cut off part of the lip of the tote, in order for it to sit flush when the cover is in place.
Now my pots and pans are out of the way till I'm ready to make a meal.
Ps. If you want you could add hinges and latches to the cover.

We are a motorcoach company and we use these totes for all our Bingo supplies. They work wonders and they last a very long time. We have about 6-7 of them that have been here and used for 17 years now. We love them.

I have about 60 of these. They are great for moving, organizing, and an even storing stuff on your outdoor deck. I even use them to tote wood in the winter for the fireplace. They have lasted for over 20 years.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Parsimonious Dan Great Storage, Lids go bad, no replacement lids!!!
Great product that has lasted 8+ years, but if you store outside in the sun for one , or two, years the lids begin to erode and break apart. No problem...just buy a new lid you say, but Rubbermaid won't sell you just the lid :( to bad for Rubbermaid as this would allow continued use and prevent early departure to the recycler. Almost Excellant except...you can't buy a replacement lid!!!

These are just what I was looking for. I bought these many years ago for storing product to sell at computer shows and over ten years later, they are still holding up even after the shows aren't. Today I use them for storing food. I love that they are durable, light and stackable. I searched other containers and none had all these important features as the Rubbermaid Roughneck. And buying online made it so convenient. Thank You.
