Plenty of raccoons in my area. I found that when I treat the lid like Tupperware, and "burp" it, they can't get the can open.

Answer:
you could put a small lock or a straight nut and bolt which would require a couple of small holes, but would fix the problem, make sure it is thru th lid and the lip of the can.

Yes, I use tie wraps purchased at Home Depot. They come in different sizes and thickness. I only put one large one on it and left plenty of room for movement. Hope this helps.

6. Make your own repellent by mixing one small bottle of hot pepper sauce, one gallon of water and one tsp of mild liquid detergent such as dishwashing detergent. Spray this onto the product.

No. It's pretty ridiculous. With mine, the lids deteriorated and literally fell apart within 2 years, but the cans themselves are just fine. But you cannot just buy the lids separately.

Thank you for your interest in our products. The wheeled refuse units can use the same liners the non-wheeled units use. We recommend a 33 gallon liner for the 32 gallon sized refuse units.

Get a bag bigger than 32 gal. I never had to lift it because it has wheels. Whenever I needed one of these large cans, I had to borrow one. You will always find a use for it and it's a good place to keep Oscar the Grouch.

You can use any liner made for 32 gallon cans with the Roughneck 32 gal. Black Wheeled Trash Can with Lid. One option is the Heritage 32 gal. Can Liners which is model number 205705166.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Don't make them like the old ones Our old Roughneck cans finally gave out. It was time to replace them. So I thought I had the same quality as the old cans and they are not. The lid is very light weight. Instead of there being handles that swiveled up and down now there are molded plastic handles. I use to be able to lock the lid down over the can...now it just pops over the can like a big plastic container. Hubby is already looking for new cans. He hates them and gives them a fail. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good purchase Smooth rolling, easy to handle, just the right size trash can. Priced well and worth every penny! July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great, sturdy Barrel Seems sturdy enough, adequate size for 3 large kitchen bags and rolls nicely, lid fits snugly to keep animals out. Good value & quality. July 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No one sells only lids. When you lose the lid, you would need to buy the whole can The price of this trash can is fair. But make sure to chain somehow the lid to the can, as no one sells only new lids. I bought 8 cans for my buildings, and the new recycling person took them to the curb with the lids. The NYC sanitation crew didn't care much about the lids and took them with the trash. Now i can't buy new lids at reasonable price, and may have to buy 8 new cans. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Large size container Construction of item is good. Only complaint is wheel size, should have gotten larger wheeled unit. Does fine on concrete surfaces but is hard to move in grassy areas. June 29, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good purchase Inexpensive trash can. Holds up pretty well. Should last with proper care. June 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad This was , is a good price. Only thing about them is the wheels. They are small, and when rolling out to the curg, hard to keep balanced. Other than that, they do a good job for what they are intended. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's a trash can Uh it holds my trash pretty well. Great job Rubbermaid June 14, 2016
