CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.9 out of 5 by 86 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Replacement for a Great Garbage Can Having used several of the old brown or platinum colored wheeled Rubbermaid garbage cans that had 2 handles which locked the lid, and larger wheels I found this one very disappointing. It just feels softer, more light weight and less rugged. It seems Rubbermaid still makes a good wheeled version (32 Gal Wheeled Trash Can: #1339), but it is not being carried by Home depot. Home depot please bring back a decent locking garbage can with wheels! December 13, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lids deteriorate and you can't replace them I bought two of these about 2 years ago. They are identical to the ones in Home Depot today. In two years, the lids have become faded to a pale grey, while the trashcans themselves are still black. Then in the past few months, the lids have cracked, and are now falling apart. Since the cans are still good, I went to HD today to buy two new lids. Guess what? You can't buy just the lids. So your only choice is to live without lids or buy completely new trashcans with lids! There is no reason why a "roughneck" outdoor trashcan lid should deteriorate so badly in our moderate climate in 2 years. At least they are inexpensive. December 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Need a new trash can for this trash can lid is so light and flimsy that it blew away within the first month of owning it. now I have a trash can with no lid that's just breeding flies. Should I now buy replacement lids at 20+ a piece that will probably just blow away again or buy different brand better quality? July 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Trash Can Great size for leaf and brush cuttings. Since we can no longer use plastic bags, and don't have alot of storage room for extra large trash containers this works well. . . particularly when it rains as often as it does here, paper bags just tear up. Recommend this can! Will be purchasing a couple more. July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant Surprise! I went to Home Depot looking for a metal trash can. When told thet didn't carry the metal cans, I was directed to this Roughneck. It worked out perfectly for me, and it has wheels, which a metal can doesn't have. July 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Roughneck It truly delivers it's name Roughneck! It worth the money spent. Still have my old ones that been ran over by vehicles. July 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Removing lid breaks your fingernails. I strongly recommend to NOT buy this product! July 21, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Roughneck 32 gal. Black Wheeled Trash Can... The term "Roughneck" is somewhat of an over statement. We purchased two of these because our old cans needed replacing after 13 years of service. I seriously doubt that we are gonna even get five years out of these. But they will just have to do for now. Won't buy any more. As long as you don't plan to have these cans hold anything other than common household rubbish, then I feel they will do the job. I would think twice about using them for any thing more. January 29, 2014
