Answer:
At Home Depot the lid comes with the trash can. Although the wheels are very useful this product was not intended for heavy duty construction jobs. Keep it under a hundred pounds and the smaller wheels will do the job. If you leave the lid behind after leaving the store you won't have to worry. It will be there waiting for you when you return. Isn't that just like your Home Depot.

No. It's pretty ridiculous. With mine, the lids deteriorated and literally fell apart within 2 years, but the cans themselves are just fine. But you cannot just buy the lids separately.

Plenty of raccoons in my area. I found that when I treat the lid like Tupperware, and "burp" it, they can't get the can open.

you could put a small lock or a straight nut and bolt which would require a couple of small holes, but would fix the problem, make sure it is thru th lid and the lip of the can.

Yes, I use tie wraps purchased at Home Depot. They come in different sizes and thickness. I only put one large one on it and left plenty of room for movement. Hope this helps.

6. Make your own repellent by mixing one small bottle of hot pepper sauce, one gallon of water and one tsp of mild liquid detergent such as dishwashing detergent. Spray this onto the product.

Thank you for your interest in our products. The wheeled refuse units can use the same liners the non-wheeled units use. We recommend a 33 gallon liner for the 32 gallon sized refuse units.

Get a bag bigger than 32 gal. I never had to lift it because it has wheels. Whenever I needed one of these large cans, I had to borrow one. You will always find a use for it and it's a good place to keep Oscar the Grouch.

You can use any liner made for 32 gallon cans with the Roughneck 32 gal. Black Wheeled Trash Can with Lid. One option is the Heritage 32 gal. Can Liners which is model number 205705166.

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 173 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT PRICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST THE RIGHT SIZE , WHEELS ON BOTTOM EASY TO MOVE TO STREET FOR TRASH DAY & SAVES BOTTOM FROM WEARING OUT , LID NICE AND TIGHT , September 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor design especially for heavy loads Issue #1. The handle on this can was placed too low. I'm 5'7" and when I tilt the can to roll elsewhere, it leaves me with about two fingers holding strong on the handle. Unless I hunch. Which is not very comfortable to do while walking. Issue #2. Wheel placement and/or size. The size of one wheel is 2.5-inches in diameter at most. They JUST DON'T DO THE JOB WELL. With a heavier load, the can rocks side to side and often threatens to tip over while traveling on a fairly smooth gravelly surface. With larger wheels or even if the wheels were placed closer to the midpoint of the can, it would have created better balance. All in all, this can SUCKS. If I could return it I would but I didn't buy it and now I'm stuck with using it. Do yourself a favor, unless you're hauling trash for only a very short distance on an even surface, DON'T BUY IT. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Handy can I thought for the size and sturdiness the price was perfect! The handle and wheels are exactly what I needed August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wicked Good Trash Can This particular purchase was to replace an older trash bin that had over 15 years of service. The last months of the old bin's career was spent handling yard waste until the handles failed. The new bin was selected because of the durable handle and the wheels to make it easier to get down to the curb for pick-up day. Best-in-class! September 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product for the price I bought this to use as a recycling bin to take to the curb. I definitely like it for that use - nice to have something on wheels. It's not quite as heavy duty as I hoped but still an excellent value for the price. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rubbermaid Roughneck I was so happy to replace my old trash can with the new Rubbermaid Roughneck, it's lightweight , sturdy and looks good for a trash can August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good for what it is used for. The wheels are a plus when lugging around the can full of trash. The lid is a little flimsy but sturdy nonetheless. August 9, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Don't make them like the old ones Our old Roughneck cans finally gave out. It was time to replace them. So I thought I had the same quality as the old cans and they are not. The lid is very light weight. Instead of there being handles that swiveled up and down now there are molded plastic handles. I use to be able to lock the lid down over the can...now it just pops over the can like a big plastic container. Hubby is already looking for new cans. He hates them and gives them a fail.
