Plenty of raccoons in my area. I found that when I treat the lid like Tupperware, and "burp" it, they can't get the can open.

Answer:
you could put a small lock or a straight nut and bolt which would require a couple of small holes, but would fix the problem, make sure it is thru th lid and the lip of the can.

Yes, I use tie wraps purchased at Home Depot. They come in different sizes and thickness. I only put one large one on it and left plenty of room for movement. Hope this helps.

6. Make your own repellent by mixing one small bottle of hot pepper sauce, one gallon of water and one tsp of mild liquid detergent such as dishwashing detergent. Spray this onto the product.

Thank you for your interest in our products. The wheeled refuse units can use the same liners the non-wheeled units use. We recommend a 33 gallon liner for the 32 gallon sized refuse units.

No. It's pretty ridiculous. With mine, the lids deteriorated and literally fell apart within 2 years, but the cans themselves are just fine. But you cannot just buy the lids separately.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 152 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good for the price Trash ca design is such that it is very hard to lift up trash bag once it is full of leaves and limbs because bottom part of can is so narrow that most of the weight sit at the bottom of the bag so you have to shake the trash can very violently to get it out of trash can. you have to watch and hold the handle of the trash can to roll from one place to another in your back yard since if not handle properly it can easily tip over. May 24, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average I've owned this trash barrel for about a year now and use it for yard waste. I've found that if I fill it with anything other than leaves, like dirt or grass, the tiny wheels just aren't big enough for it to be wheeled around as easily. Heavier contents inside the barrel have also caused the handle to slip out of the slots that hold it in place. The lid doesn't stay attached on windy days. I now keep a brick on top of it to keep it from blowing away. The only good thing is that the plastic has held up very well, no rips or cracks. Some tweaks to the design would make this barrel better. April 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good outdoor can This is a good outdoor trash can but it is not the best quality. The lid on this can is tricky to keep on tight and would need improvement to give it a 5 star rating. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Camp trash can Was on sale for $17 using it for camp beats the $20 for the collapsible can we were going to buy. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Can't beat this trash can for price and durability. After 20 years of hard use had to recycle my old Rubber Maid Rough Neck cans. The new ones I purchased appear to be built more sturdy and about the same price as the old ones. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tough Trash Can!!! We use these trash cans in our Physical Education Classes as targets for playground balls and even basketballs and they have held up perfectly for years! They get knocked over all the time, loaded with all kinds of PE equipment and have never torn or broken down! I highly recommend these trash cans! May 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rubbermaid Roughneck 32 Gal black wheeled trash can with lid Not so rough, some unknown animal ate right through the lid. May 18, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I expected I should have listened to the other reviewers when they talked about the small wheels and the flimsy cover. Both of these are issues for this garbage can. I need the can to roll over a small section of pea gravel and it's almost impossible to do that without carrying the can. The can was used once and the lid was put inside of the can by the garbage people. It folded in on itself and is now bent permanently. Not happy with this purchase. April 26, 2016
