Rated 1 out of 5Â by Jayman123 Poor Replacement for a Great Garbage Can
Having used several of the old brown or platinum colored wheeled Rubbermaid garbage cans that had 2 handles which locked the lid, and larger wheels I found this one very disappointing. It just feels softer, more light weight and less rugged.
It seems Rubbermaid still makes a good wheeled version (32 Gal Wheeled Trash Can: #1339), but it is not being carried by Home depot.
Home depot please bring back a decent locking garbage can with wheels!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by TracySam Lids deteriorate and you can't replace them
I bought two of these about 2 years ago. They are identical to the ones in Home Depot today. In two years, the lids have become faded to a pale grey, while the trashcans themselves are still black. Then in the past few months, the lids have cracked, and are now falling apart. Since the cans are still good, I went to HD today to buy two new lids. Guess what? You can't buy just the lids. So your only choice is to live without lids or buy completely new trashcans with lids! There is no reason why a "roughneck" outdoor trashcan lid should deteriorate so badly in our moderate climate in 2 years. At least they are inexpensive.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by WishingWell Roughneck 32 gal. Black Wheeled Trash Can...
The term "Roughneck" is somewhat of an over statement. We purchased two of these because our old cans needed replacing after 13 years of service. I seriously doubt that we are gonna even get five years out of these. But they will just have to do for now. Won't buy any more. As long as you don't plan to have these cans hold anything other than common household rubbish, then I feel they will do the job. I would think twice about using them for any thing more.

Call me crazy, but these lids don't lock. Silly me I should've tried it in the store. They just sit on top and after one night outside, both of my brand new kids were blown off and were off the back porch on the lawn. The squirrels has a nice buffet, so that's something positive- for the squirrels.

I was very interested to note that someone else has experienced the squirrel problem. A squirrel has chewed the lid on my "Roughneck" lid in numerous places. I'm looking for a replacement.
