Answer:
Instead of this product, we recommend using Rust-Oleum LeakSeal in black. It's designed to fill small holes, unlike the Rubberized Undercoating Spray Paint. Rust-Oleum LeakSeal will fill and seal small leaks and cracks in a steel surface and provides a firm finish that will not sag or drip and can be top-coated with latex or oil based paints. Read More

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent for price The instructions literally say that the product does not fully dry and remains tacky. I built a firewood rack and painted it with this (thinking it would dry hard) and am thinking I should have done something different. It does say it is paintable, so I'm going to give that a shot once it dries to see if it would be more durable. Luckily it's just a firewood rack and not something fancy, but in the end I should have read the full instructions. I'm sure I could find a good use for it in the future. The finished look is nice, just hoping I can make it more durable without scraping it all off. December 1, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Dry Time! This undercoat does not dry to a touch, it stays sticky for ever. product is not good for undercoating. March 20, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap but works Cleveland, Ohio- Painted the inside of my truck bumper with this stuff about 3 years ago. Holds up nice, but it remains soft and does not provide a hard surface. Don't forget about all those rocks and stones that get kicked up... they make hit this product and in some cases it gets stripped away. Decent product, but be sure to put it on thick March 2, 2013
