I do not think this would be the best product for that. Take a look at DryLok

Answer:
Hello GoofyGranny!
Thank you for your question!
This product will seal the concrete so that moisture cannot penetrate the concrete. However, it does not prevent moisture from coming up from the ground. It is also resists peeling, fading, chemicals, dirt and scuffing from hot tires.
Please note: The ground needs to be completely dry before applying this product.
Have a great day!
Christine :)

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleased with results & can't beat the price. Kit contains all you need to complete the job. Coating rolls on easily. Gallon covers about 340 square feet with one coat so make sure it is enough for your needs & don't over-apply. Use the deco chips sparingly to make them last. (I was a little too generous at first.) Very satisfied overall & the sale price was a great value. Check the before/after photos. August 20, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great DIY weekend project, saved a ton of $ from having a pro do it. The coating is easy to apply, just follow the instructions and the end finish will be good. I recommend buying the 2 gallon kit. I used 1.5 cans for a small 2 car garage with a fairly thin but normal thickness coverage. Cleaning and preparing the concrete floor is very important before starting this project! I also recommend adding a non slip additive like SharkGrit to the coating. Practice your flake decoration throwing and stay consistent as you work. I have some heavy flake spots due to my own throwing issues but the look still turned out great. After the coating dries I would say ~10-15% of the flake will brush off at clean up. Apply the flake sooner when the coating is first applied when wet and less will brush up at the end. I let mine dry for the recommend 7 days before I drove on it. April 29, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worse buy I have ever made I have a new home and did garage floor before moving into house. Did everything as instructed, have not had car or anything in garage for over a week. Paint is peeling already and have not even walk on it. Can hardly wait till I start using garage. I have always been satisfied with Rust Oleum products till this one. They need to stop making and selling this product. Home depot needs to stop distributing. I would not recommend this product. I would not buy again. The paint is peeling, the color flakes do not adheare to paint. Never buy again, not sure I will ever buy Rust Oleum again. April 6, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by If you're doing all the prep work, go with a better product I can't recommend this product. One coat was not enough. I'm glad I bought two kits; my first coat was about 1 1/4 gallons for a 2 car garage, with the second coat spreading a bit further and using the rest of the second gallon. Although I'm happy with the color and paint chips this is not a product that will last long term. It is essentially just an acrylic paint on the ground. Move a table, it will probably scratch. Drag a heavy box, it will probably scratch. Not the sort of surface that will hold up to garage/workshop use. At half the price of epoxy or acrylic/epoxy blend options I understand attraction but since you are still doing all the prep work of cleaning, washing, and etching the concrete surface spend a little more money on something that won't need to be resurfaced every year or two. The directions even state the product may need to be reapplied every 2-3 years. May 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pleased! No reviews of this product when I purchased but based on reviews of the product it replaced, I took a chance. This was for my basement workshop. The floor was previously painted but pretty stained from various projects. The floor had been recently washed so I just swept it good. Per directions, I didn't use the etch mix This paint is very thick but goes on easily. As I was concerned about coverage, I spread it a bit too thin in a few places. Not a big deal for the application but I'd advise spreading a nice even coat. I worked in sections per directions, casting the flakes over the section just finished, leaving about a 1 foot edge for the next section. I worked continuously for about 2 hours to completion. Even though the section edges were only 15 minutes old, I was concerned about the overlap showing but when dry the next day, the finish was even. About the flakes: there are more than twice as many as needed and I cast them liberally. I expected many to be loose after the paint dried but they all stuck. April 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Garage Floor The price was great. Have not been able to use since we still have snow on the ground here. Hopefully will be a good product. I will apply a clear sealer over it all several times. April 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by top shelf product Went down perfectly and adhesion has been 100% -- Without much prep on a 7 year old garage floor. Highly recommended product. April 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great contents great coverage, a little hard to spread but doable March 25, 2014
