Answer:
The label and technical data sheet (see Rustoleum website) specify the number of gallons needed. I found however that it took me 3x the recommended amount to cover the floor. The recommended RESTORE roller cover leaves a thick layer of coating on the floor. A different applicator might allow you to lay down a thinner layer.

Answer:
I would not recommend this product for a driveway. We used this on a family room (concrete slab). The coating was scored when we moved a dining table on it a week after application. Also the coating cracked, peeled away from the concrete after a rainstorm, likely from moisture wicking through from the outside.

Thank you for your interest in this product. Unfortunately, the Decorative Concrete Coating will not hold up to vehicle traffic. The coating will be begin to chip and peel from the surface as cars drive over it.

Rated 2.0 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Product cracks and peels, not consist in color from different cans. First time installed on old concrete without primer, cracked and peeled but I liked the color. Purchased another can, with primer and etching liquid. Ground and pressure wash blasted old material Off. Applied new material today, was thinner material than before, really stirred well but seemed not to have as much color granuals as before. I used the gray material on front stoop entrance. As a contractor I believe I used due diligence. I could have install tile for about the same money. New coat looks like gray paint. Time will tell if it cracks also. I will not be using again. I guess it would work for a temporary display.. June 4, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great in the summer, peeled in the winter. I purchased 4 gallons of this stuff in August to do my porch. I purchased the solution to clean the concrete, cleaned it let it dry for 2 days, then put It on with the special rollers they have you buy. It looked absolutely gorgeous for the rest of the summer and all through fall. This February when we got 3.5 ft of snow and temperatures dropped the entirety of my front porch is peeling. Seriously the entire front porch is all cracked and popped up and peeling away to the point where a strong gust of wind sends chips of paint into the air. I wasted $200 + on this product. Do not waste your money! March 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy this product!!!!! Followed all directions, already peeling after 3 months. Now it`s on sale for $5.00 a gallon, Got all my money back from the company, but now I have to remove the paint and find a better product!!!!! February 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very disappointed Looked great for a few months then it started cracking and peeling up December 18, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Poor Product! I put the product down following the directions to the T because I was doing such a large area. A week later it started coming up. I contacted Rustoleum twice and both representatives said I did everything right. The first person told me to use 60 grit sandpaper to rough it up and reapply. The second person said I should have put a moisture block down first. He also said there is nothing I can do now except to powerwash it off again and start over. They are refunding my money but what a mess this is going to be trying to get up 8 gallons of coating. I'm bummed because It looked so awesome when I first put it down. My suggestion is if you use it, contact a concrete professional first and definitely put down a moisture barrier. The concrete professional I contacted said I shouldn't have put this type of coating down because concrete is too porous; but rather should have done an acid stain. August 12, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor coverage, hard to find, not durable This product was new at Home Depot, and the staff could not locate it although the computer inventory showed product was in stock. (We went to 6 HD stores in the area and this experience was repeated at 4 of the 6.) There was no sample showing the finished product at the store. The label indicates a special applicator is needed, but store employees did not know what applicator to use. I had to call Rustoleum to find out the RESTORE applicator is specified. That roller leaves a rough textured surface which is unlike the smooth shiny surface I expected from the image on the label and on-line. It took us 15 gallons to cover a 24x24 floor - approx. 3 times the quantity recommended for the job. The product took much longer to cure than expected. Label says wait 2-4 hrs between coats but it takes much longer than that to walk on it. We found out the hard way, and had it stick to our shoes 2 days later. Moving a dining table on the surface scored the floor a week later, requiring another coat. May 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outdoor Kitchen This product seems to be working very well for me as I am building a new outdoor kitchen / patio it dries quickly and is easy to clean up , I just wish it wasn't 35.00 dollars a gallon. I just do not understand why paint products have gotten so expensive . July 29, 2014
