2 kits were used with a 1/2 gallon left over for just over 800 sq ft. I also bought anti-skid additive and used the flakes. The concrete floor (new garage) was etched with muratic acid and waited overnight before painting. Looks great. I can see some roller marks but i'm happy with it. I didnt bother to buy the clear coat because the floor is shiney enough for me. The paint does smell pretty strong when applying but im happy with the results. It took approx 1.5 hours with 2 people to trim/paint.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TonyA It's all in the preparation
Used the Rustoleum solvent based epoxy on the three garage floor. Paid careful attention to prep, removed all existing paint (hired HD floor tool), acid washed and applied epoxy. Went down very well, added the sprinkles and looks good. Now to do the job well, get, spiked shoes, epoxy suitable roller covers, long handle for roller, paint brush and buckets, mixer that goes in the drill and in my opinion - apply the clear top coat. Watch the temperatures! The garage looks good, took some time before i could get all vehicles back in but now it's done i am very happy. I am confident that there will be not be any hot tire pick up because i applied the clear top coat. I am happy with the results, cost quite a bit, but looks good.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HomeinVA Rustoleum Epoxy Basement Floor Coating
Wow! We researched all the products to coat a 52' X 24' well-used concrete basement floor and selected this one because all customer ratings were 5 star and the product only required one coating. We purchased 4 of the Two Part Epoxy Floor coating packages but coverage was so good that we only needed three. We washed the floor twice and didn't see much improvement until we did the etching using mercuric acid, a bristle broom and a dry vac, according to the package instructions. After drying overnight, we mixed each application separately and applied with a large nap 18" roller. It went on fast and coverage was fantastic. We didn't use all of the colored sprinkles that came with the kits but still applied them liberally. For ventilation we had a heavy duty fan and windows open but by the time we finished the fumes were very stong (the only drawback to this product). End result was a very professional looking job. It has a nice gloss and covers imperfections nicely!

The professional version of this paint/epoxy is fantastic. I was able to weld over it! Even drag a car on a rotisserie! You will however need to properly clean the floor and allow ample drying time. Use it on the driest day you can so it can set up best. I have this in my garage and in my shop where I keep my projects.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gilmen NEW CONCRETE COATING
I HAD A NEW GARAGE FLOOR POURED IN SPRING OF 2010 WITH THE INTENTION OF EPOXY COATING THE FLOOR WHEN FINISHED. AFTER WAITING 90 DAYS FOR THE CONCRETE TO CURE AND SEVERAL WEEKS FOR HUMIDY LEVELS TO DROP I ROLLED ON MY NEW COATING. I WAS ABLE TO COVER THE ENTIRE FLOOR 22X24 528 SQFT WITH ONE KIT, BUT WITH THIS BEING NEW CONCRETE CERTIAN AREAS OF THE FLOOR DREW IN MORE PRODUCT LEAVING THE FINISHED LOOK UNEVEN OR DULL I HAD THOUGHT I WOULD NEED 2 KITS FROM THE START SO I HAD THE OTHER ONE HANDY AND WENT OVER THE ENTIRE FLOOR AGAIN AND HAD GREAT RESULTS. KEEP THE ROOM WELL VENTILATED WHEN DOING THIS AND I WASHED THE WALLS AND RAFTERS TO KEEP THE DUST FROM FALLING INTO THE WET FINISH.THE FLOOR SURVIVED OUR WINTER. I CLEANED IT ONCE A WEEK (A SWIFFER WET JET AND OLD TOWEL WORK GREAT) TO KEEP SALT OFF AND TO REDUCE PUDDLES. IT IS VERY SLIPPERY WHEN WET AND I WILL NOT ADD GRIT. I MAKES IT TO HARD TO SWEEP OR SWIFFER. I USE A CARPET RUNNER DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THE GARAGE WORKS GREAT. THERE ARE LIGHT SCRATCHES IN THE FLOOR FROM THE FRONT WHEEL ONLY WHERE OUR CAR IS PARKED DUE TO THE GRIT THAT IS DRUG IN FROM THE STREET I NOW HAVE HAVE A PARKING STOP ON BOTH FRONT WHEELS AND THIS HAS ELIMINATED THIS ISSUE I ALSO BELIEVE IF THE FLECKS THAT COME WITH THE KIT ARE USED YOU WILL NOT SEE TO MANY IMPERFECTIONS IN THE FINISH THE FLECKS BREAK UP THE FINISH AND SCRATCHES AND OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ARE NOT NOTICABLE. THE FLOOR IS VERY EASY TO CLEAN AND I WOULD DO THIS AGAIN. THERE IS SOME CARE AND MAINTENANCE THOUGH TO KEEP THE FLOOR NICE AND YOU CAN NOT DRAG ANYTHIG WITH A SHARP EDGE ON THE FLOOR IT WILL LEAVE MARKS. IF I DID THIS OVER I WOULD HAVE A FLOOR DRAIN IN THE GARAGE OR HEAT THE FLOORS SINCE NO MOISTURE IS SUCKED INTO THE CONCRETE IT WOULD MAKE IT EASIER TO TAKE CARE OF PARTICULARY IN THE WINTER.
