Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Interesting product I received this through the Seeds program, although I didn't really have a need for it. I had used PlastiDip paint and wanted to compare. This is much thinner, so it takes longer to build up a covering. But you get much better results with quick thin coats. It adhered well to the metal surface I used, after cleaning with Denatured Alcohol. But it was still able to be peeled off. It didn't quite hold up to scratches as much as a hardened paint surface would. June 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ideal for particular situations Unlike other liquid coatings, this is ideal as a spray for thin coatings and large areas or awkward shapes. It coats evenly and can be easily removed. Keep the easily removed part in mind for appropriateness as you won't want to use it in an application where being able to pull the coating off is undesirable. August 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Makes Slippery Stuff Sticky (That's a good thing) The intended use for this stuff is tool handles and other things that you need to be able to grip. I didn't have any screwdrivers or pliers that needed to be a bit more sticky in the hand, but I do have an I-pad, and I find the darrn thing is constantly jumping out of my hand, the case is just too smooth and slippery. FLEXI DIP to the RESCUE I was reluctant to just squirt the back of my I-pad with this stuff, but after dropping it too many times, thinking about it for a couple of months, and letting the warranty expire, I masked off the back, leaving a couple of ovals in good position for my fingers, and let fly with the Flexidip dip. Now I have a couple of grippy pads on the back of my I-pad, which are not as neatly applied as I would like...learning curve and all y'know...Still, it works and the next time I'll do a neater job. Now Flexidip is actually made to stick to steel and wood, and I tried a couple of test shots on those materials with good success. However, on the highly "slickified" surface of the I-pad's case, I think it is going to peel off in a few months. I need to figure out a way to apply it in a layer that is thick and spongy in the middle and flares out to paper thin at the edges because I tend to absentmindedly worry it with my fingers. Still, great stuff. I just need to experiment with it a bit more. October 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product and is easily removable from metal. Is a grippy, durable coating. Can be peeled-off metal surfaces and reapplied if needed. March 18, 2014
