Answer:
Many wool surfaces contain oil that prevents coatings from properly adhering to the surface. For this reason, we do not recommend applying Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric Spray Paint to a wool surfaces.

Answer:
Yes, you can if the tent fabric is NOT Nylon.
The manufacturer does not recommend it to use on Nylon, since it makes it more flammable.

As the previous comment states - Rust-Oleum NeverWet Outdoor Fabric is great for camping gear Mark. It is ideal for tents made of polyester, cotton/poly blends and canvas. Test it in an inconspicuous area before application for colorfastness. Remember to re-apply the product seasonally or when needed.

I need to seal the bottom 2' of the walls of my shower. This would need to work for a year or more, until I can redo the shower tile.
Please advise.

Answer:
no, it is a spray on waterproofer, doesn't seal at all. its more for boots, shoes coats; stuff you want rain to run off of, awnings, tents, etc.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 39 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does not work Purchased 3 bottles, which covered 4 cushion sets, front and back. Followed the directions, actually let them dry for a week before putting them outside. We had rain, and 4 days later the cushions are soaked. I have used Thompson outdoor fabric protector, which worked very well and kept the cushions dry all season. I will be using Thompsons from now on. March 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job Repels the rain. U can c the rain drops sit on the cushion. doesn't absorb. July 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by not sure what the unhappy reveiwers did wrong i sprayed patio pillows etc. with this at the beginning of summer last year worked great and still working great this year with extremely heavy rain. have new umbrella on order and intend to spray it. neighbor was so surprised at how it worked she is having me treat her patio furniture. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I have "runs" onmy new cushions Have always used Rustoleum products with great success. Saw this and selected it over Thompsons, which I have used for years. It repels water fine and didn't discolor the underside of the cushion when I tested it but it ran on a few of the cushion backs, expensive cushions that now look like they have stains on them. This wont stop me from using other Rustoleum products again but our new cushions will have to be replaced. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for Pink Suede Shoes My new pink suede tennis shoes will stay clean and dry throughout my trips to the fitness center. They are color perfect after the Never-Wet spray application. I followed the rules and let them dry for the suggested 24 hours. I then went for a walk in the rain. I Now I am a five-star fan. I plan to spray my newest chocolate-colored walking shoes also. Shoes are too expensive to risk mud and rain. October 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product! Good product ! But I have found it necessary to reapply for best results April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good solution, especially for canvas shoes!! This is very easy to spray on the item and it smells fruity. I used it on 3 pairs of canvas shoes, it works well and goes on evenly. Don’t shake the bottle and make sure you spray it in a well-ventilated because although it smells nice, it is a strong smell. Depending on how much you spray on, it could take a couple of hours to dry and make sure to wipe off excess spray on any non-fabric parts, such as in my case with the canvas shoes, I noticed little bubbles on the rubber trim of the shoes so I had to lightly dab with a lint free cloth. I missed some bubbles after a few minutes of spraying the shoes and they were starting to dry already, so inspect the entire item before leaving it out to dry. Don’t let the solution bubble or puddle on the item. Before exposing the item to water, wait at least 24 hours. I’m happy with the results, the shoes are now water-proof and they won’t stain like they did without this solution. Especially my white canvas shoes, I had to wash weekly because every single little dirty wet drop of water ended up showing too well, but now I won’t have that issue. June 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ski clothing dry after heavy wet snow (all day exposure) I have a very old pair of ski bibs and an old rain jacket I ski in and this weekend was a really heavy wet snow up on Mt. Hood. I treated the garments the night before so they had roughly 15 hours to dry, less than the 24 recommended. The only thing I noticed is the smell from the spray, it is very strong and fragrant like overwhelming laundry. But whatever I just wanted to be dry! The treated garments performed very well and kept me dry all day. After about 5 hours there was some wetting on the surface of the ski bibs but it wasn't enough to soak through. I suspect that if the drying time was longer and maybe I would have treated the clothing with two coats prior to going into the elements it would have worked even better. My friends are eager to try NeverWet on their bikes/packs/motorcycles and I'm interested in using it on my commuter bike as it would be nice to have a dry bike to haul inside the apartment. All in all I'm very pleased with the product and will use it again but I wish the fragrance wasn't so darn strong. As long as your moving you don't notice it but soon as you stop moving you and others can smell it. Maybe I had a bad batch or maybe the other versions for boots and other things don't have the smell issue. March 14, 2016
