For a product that's around $4 a can, its totally worth every penny. I have used this product to update a clear lamp (and many other projects around the house) that I had and it turned out great. I also used the Rust-Oleum Gloss Protective Coat to protect the paint and it turned out beautiful!

Normally I don't review due to vanity and vexation. But this is not normal paint, compared to Valspar spray paints I've had trouble with ... i.e., poor coverage, dripping, and finger pain.
But the Rust 2x primer was the opposite: perfect coverage, non-dripping, and wide finger.
Today I used 10 cans to paint: outdoor lattice, outdoor fence (mildewed), plastic chairs, and wooden chairs. It only took about an hour or 2 to finish EVERYTHING (my wife helped with 2 cans.)
So I've ordered 24 MORE cans of this AWESOME matt primer to ALWAYS use when feasible. Of course time will tell how good it is ... but first impressions have me blessed and hoping for the best.

I work in a maintenance department and regularly paint outside parking lots and wording on curbs. This is THE paint can to use. I have gone to other paint stores to buy their equivalent to this type of product and there's no comparison. Others turn yellow while this one does not. Great coverage, crisp color. Worth the trip to your local Home Depot.

Awesome stuff for small jobs, even over darker colored paint. Highly recommended!

Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Ultra Cover 2x is the best spray paint I’ve ever used. The Double Cover Technology is the real deal and is less susceptible to paint bleed.
My experience with the Ultra Cover paint began when my wife brought a couple cans home from our local Home Depot. She purchased used glass flower vases and asked me to paint them to match our decor. Several of the vases had flutes, contours and other designs which would make this task impossible. I attempted to evade this chore by telling her that spray paint doesn’t stick to glass. I told her that in my past experience I’ve never had success painting such a smooth surface. She told me that a Home Depot associate recommended this paint for glass. I cautioned that when the finish looks terrible and spray paint is dripping from her vases, she can’t be upset.
Reluctantly I went to work on her vases. after a couple passes on the first vase, I began to realize I was wrong. Not only was the paint sticking to the glass, I was able to apply a generous first coat. I noticed the spray tip was wider and far more comfortable than the old tiny tips that leave a serious dent in your finger. As I worked through the line of vases, I became impressed that the spray stream remained consistent as I tipped the can, in order to paint the flutes and contours. By the time I was done with the first coat on the last vase, the first vase was dry and ready for a second coat.
The second coat went on thick and easy. I quickly completing the process of converting old transparent garbage into fresh opaque vases. The finishes were virtually flawless. This project turned into a quick and painless (not even finger pain) task.
Although I would have preferred to walk back in the house with paint dripping from the vases, I had to admit to my wife that she was right and that this paint is amazing!
Since that time we’ve used Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Ultra Cover 2x to paint coke bottles, wood plaques, a mirror, a light fixture, and even a portion of vinyl fence. This product absolutely exceeded my expectations and comes highly recommended from me and what’s left of my pride.
