Answer:
Happy to help! Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Ultra Cover 2X Gloss Spray Paint is suitable for metal surfaces. The coating is non-toxic once it fully cures, which takes at least 7 days. The birdcage can be used after that point.

Answer:
We do not recommend using Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Ultra Cover 2X Spray Paint on wine bottles. It is not designed to adhere to glass surfaces. Instead, use Rust-Oleum Universal Spray Paint. This product will adhere to several surfaces, including glass. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Universal-12-oz-All-Surface-Gloss-Black-Spray-Paint-and-Primer-in-One-Case-of-6-245196/202058598

They state in the specs that it works on wood, metal and MORE. So I would say glass falls under more. Since it has it's own built in primer I would sure give it a shot. I would be sure to follow the directions on cure time to be sure it does stick to it.

Answer:
To prepare a galvanized surface for painting with Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Ultra Cover 2X Spray paint, we recommend starting with a primer such as Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Universal Bonding Primer. For proper surface preparation before applying Universal Bonding Primer, wash the surface with a commercial detergent, or another suitable cleaning method to remove dirt. Rinse with fresh water and let dry. Read More

Answer:
I would use a solvent like turpentine, denatured alcohol or anything that will cut through oil. I would then rough it up a little with a fine grade sandpaper or steel wool. Prime and then put on the finish coat.

Answer:
Yes you should clean it first since there still may be some cutting oil on it. You can use denatured alcohol or turpentine or anything that will cut through the oil. I'd give it a quick roughing up then with either a fine grade sandpaper or steel wool. Prime the pipe and let dry for the allotted amount of time and then put on your finish coat. this is what I did for the pole holding up my martin house. Read More

Yes you can. I'd paint a primer on first so the finish coat adheres to it better.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for Plastic I had a large project that needed to paint plastic pieces (Lego's). I was concerned since the can says "also good for plastic" that maybe the result would not be great. This paint actually works very well on plastic. I went through about 6 cans in various colors. No runs or drips. The coverage is even and did seem to last a lot longer. It dries quickly. After a few hours of drying I stacked the pieces and they did not stick together. I ended up painting some at night at colder temperatures and the paint performed just as well under those conditions. The finished paint does not chip or scratch off the plastic. This is a very good product available in many colors. February 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to Use and Great Coverage I used this on plastic caps and it covers great and sprays an even amount on the project. The finish is an even glossy finish. The nozzle put out a even amount with no clogging or drips from it. Very pleased with the end result. March 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Applies to most materials Used this product a number of times in a number of colors. This review covers GLASS BLACK. Preparation is key for best results. Clean, sand & prepare the surface. Primer is recommended followed by another sanding; re-prime as necessary. Clean all sanding dust & oils from the surface. Shake well. Spray in a well-ventilated area with little to no breeze. Apply at a distance of about 12-18 inches with smooth, overlapping strokes. Apply a "tack coat" (light coat) and allow it to dry for about 5-10 minutes followed by a slightly heavier coat. Don't try to apply your coverage in 1 or even 2 coats; you run a risk of having runs in the paint. Plan on applying 3 or more coats with a light sanding between coats as needed. You can achieve a shiny, reflective black surface if done correctly. Allow paint to cure thoroughly before handling. Product has good coverage. October 22, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Paint This paint works well and has a nice Finnish.I recommend it to everyone. October 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Impressed My wife bought this Rustoleum 2x paint for a craft project. She asked me to help paint glass dishes for display pieces. I've never painted glass with spray paint so I assumed this was going to run and make a terrible mess. I was wrong, the paint adhered perfectly and was ready for a second coat in a few short minutes. I am impressed enough to write a review on spray paint. 5 Stars! June 13, 2012
