I'm so upset! I am refinishing a table for an auction project for my daughters school. The first can that I used was great! Then, I was doing some touch ups with the second can and it came out gritty like sawdust..and a totally different color! I thought it was a fluke, wiped it off immediately and resanded. Brought the can back and got a new one...same issue! Clumps of stuff are coming out. I am glad to see I'm not crazy and that other people have had this problem. I'm going back to home depot to see if the can I returned this morning is the same lot as the new one that is defective. I just need to finish this project, but I'm scared that I'm going to keep ruining it with this paint!!

Bought four cans - and one can of four used was terrible! Color was way off, and the spray came out gritty. Returned to our Home Depot for another can, but the mess and clean up was a real time waster on our project. Details:
Rust-oleum Painters Touch Ultra Cover spay paint - 12 oz - Satin Heirloom White
Not sure if this is just a bad (very bad) can or a bad batch. Truly awful results and lots of rework for us.

Contrary to some of the other reviews, I have had no issues with this spray paint. Just painted 12 mason jars for a craft project, they all look great, paint went on easily, finish is smooth. Make sure to shake well, spray lightly and keep moving. Color is a beautiful antique white/ivory (think - grandma's lace tablecloth). And the price is quite reasonable. I have purchased other Rustoleum colors (just bought the Colonial Red for my mailbox), and it looks really good. Will definitely be using again. Word of warning - it dries longer than it says on the can. Wait at least a few hours and you'll be fine.

The paint is said to be satin. No chance. This trash came out of the can as some sort of clumps, chunks, and splats.
Not what I wanted at all, and nothing close to the "satin" finish the can says. It actually is some sort of poor quality textured paint, not satin at all
Must have been made in china.
DO NOT BUY THIS. And, DO NOT USE IT ON FURNITURE, which is suggested. It will ruin the piece you use it on.
I'm not sure how I am going to get it off the part I painted, and I am pretty darn mad.

I purchased Satin Heirloom Painter's Touch Ultra to paint the base of an old candy machine my daughter was given. The surface I was painting was a forged metal that was pretty rough. The Ultra paint was up to the task. I applied pretty heavy coats and experienced no paint drip. It took 3 coats and a little touch up but the rough black base eventually became soft white (pics attached). This is hands-down the best spray paint I've used. I've painted glass, metal, vinyl and wood and it performs great. One note, wipe the excess off the nozzle between coats. This paint dries quickly so it will clog the tip if you aren't careful. I highly recommend this product.

This paint is horrible. I spent hours and hours stripping, sanding, and painting 4 dining room chairs. When I had painted 2 chairs totally and was preparing to spray clear coat on them, I wiped them down first. I noticed the paint started looking as if I had missed spots or if it was wearing off. I sanded the areas and wiped off the dust and repainted. They looked thoroughly covered. Painted another coat. Still looked good. Wiped off with a wet cloth and again, the paint was just wiping off. I followed the directions and was painting bare wood that had been sanded and all the dust wiped off. So infuriating! I also noticed, as just about every other reviewer noticed, that after using the 1st can of paint, when I sprayed any of the other 3 cans, it looked like a slightly different color but I didn't think much of it because it had to be shadows or something. I don't know if it's limited to just this color or if all of the Rust-oleum primer + paint spray paint is this poor quality. But I won't touch this stuff again.

I am revising my last review. I had purchased 3 cans. The first one came out gritty no matter how much I shook the can. The second came out PERFECT. I painted my entire desk with one can. The 3rd can sprayed fine BUT the color was more of a light yellow, so much that my desk looked blotchy after the 3rd coat. I went out an bought 2 more cans. So far, they both seem okay. I would use this paint again but only after checking the colors and consistency on a piece of cardboard or something. When you get a good can, the results are marvelous. ALSO, the spray handle by Rustoleum allows for more even coverage. I purchased mine for a few bucks at another store.

Paint can was VERY well shaken. I waited for the ideal application temperature and humidity. Surface prepped per directions. Paint came out as if it were never shaken at all. I couldn't believe my eyes as I watched the color change from "heirloom white" to a yellowish tan color and back again. I had shaken the can until the ball was ready to come through the can! Resulting surface was a somewhat satin finish to what looked like sand. My project is ruined, starting over. No more Rust-Oleum 2x.
