I use this color for one of the craft products I sell on Etsy, so I have been using it for years, and have experienced the "textured, grit, chunkiness" that everyone has mentioned. It happens completely random from can to can, and it definitely isn't this "dry spray" or user error that the Rust-Oleum rep has posted here. It's definitely a Rust Oleum problem.
Anyway, when it works correctly, it's a great color and applies nicely. If you happen to get a bad can, use it with the can upside down. For some reason, that grittiness disappears. It's awkward to use that way but at least makes the can salvageable.
Side note - this isn't the only color I have experienced this problem with. Their Spa Blue and Candy Pink do the same.

I used this paint on kitchen cabinets and was very pleased with the results. It covered well and provided a great looking finish.

I'm so upset! I am refinishing a table for an auction project for my daughters school. The first can that I used was great! Then, I was doing some touch ups with the second can and it came out gritty like sawdust..and a totally different color! I thought it was a fluke, wiped it off immediately and resanded. Brought the can back and got a new one...same issue! Clumps of stuff are coming out. I am glad to see I'm not crazy and that other people have had this problem. I'm going back to home depot to see if the can I returned this morning is the same lot as the new one that is defective. I just need to finish this project, but I'm scared that I'm going to keep ruining it with this paint!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tom Absolute garbage. Will ruin your project!
I just used two cans of this product in Satin Ivory color to paint a metal half-size AC filter door. The color was a perfect match for my Dunn-Edwards interior color. The door had a smooth factory primer and was thoroughly cleaned. It was 70 degrees out, still and under the porch. Perfect painting conditions. When finished the surface texture was gritty and sandy. I even took a close look at the can to see if I had accidently purchased textured paint. When applying it is hard to tell that it is making such a mess but it does appear to be going on too dry. There did seem to be a difference between the two cans. Just as so many others have said, this stuff is absolute garbage and there is a very high risk it will ruin your project. Now I am faced with the ugly job of sanding it off and finding another matching paint. I really do not see how a company with Rustoleum's reputation for quality could let this happen.

The paint is said to be satin. No chance. This trash came out of the can as some sort of clumps, chunks, and splats.
Not what I wanted at all, and nothing close to the "satin" finish the can says. It actually is some sort of poor quality textured paint, not satin at all
Must have been made in china.
DO NOT BUY THIS. And, DO NOT USE IT ON FURNITURE, which is suggested. It will ruin the piece you use it on.
I'm not sure how I am going to get it off the part I painted, and I am pretty darn mad.

Bought four cans - and one can of four used was terrible! Color was way off, and the spray came out gritty. Returned to our Home Depot for another can, but the mess and clean up was a real time waster on our project. Details:
Rust-oleum Painters Touch Ultra Cover spay paint - 12 oz - Satin Heirloom White
Not sure if this is just a bad (very bad) can or a bad batch. Truly awful results and lots of rework for us.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HoneyBadger Sorry to say, this product is unacceptable.
I read all these reviews before purchasing these spray cans, and also Rustoleum's rebut that it must be user error. Thinking that this (can spray painting) is something a lot of people are likely to do wrong I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
I'm well experienced using spray cans, and followed the directions 100% to the letter. But the finish is terrible - grit, like very fine sand, is now strewn through the finish - maybe 10 - 20 imperfections every square inch. Now i'm left with a helluva job to prep the surface for clear coat. And the removed grit is leaving a fine colour inconsistency behind it. Not good enough. I won't be using again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Debbie Did an Awesome Job!
Had to paint 21 cabinet doors in my daughter's kitchen. I purchased a can of Marquee paint for the job. Because of time constraint I knew hand painting would take much longer. I brought home a can of this spray paint and sprayed it on one of the doors. My daughter loved it. I did apply 2 coats because it would be used in the kitchen and the second coat made the cabinets look very professional and my daughter loved the rustic finish. The job will be finished on time and all 21 cabinets doors look awesome!
