This product was better than I expected. I used it to paint a VERY old desk on bare wood and the oil based paint seemed to absorb very nicely into the wood. The finish was exactly what I was looking for. It complimented the wood but also had a slight shiny metallic finish in the sun. Just be careful when you are using this paint because it is oil based so it does stain easily.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by LShum Just what I needed!
I wanted to update our front entrance and get rid of all of the brass. I replaced it with the metallic oil rubbed bronze finish. I had refinished my mailbox, house numbers, doorbell and door handles with the Universal Metallic Spray Paint by Rustoleum (the spray paint works great by the way). However, the glass for our storm door had a thin metal accent trim on it and I didn't think I'd be able to spray paint it easily. This product was just what I needed. It matched the oil rubbed bronze that I had already applied and it was easy to work with too. I love the finished product!

I have fallen in love with this color and have painted many things with it. I couldnt get the spray so I bought the paint in the quart can. It is so much better! It has a better finish than the spray. I love it and will continue to use it on furniture, frames, old lamps, etc.

I used this to paint old shiny brass door knobs and hinges. Saved me alot of money by not replacing them. All it cost me was time.

This is my new favorite paint of all time. The color is amazing and perfect for a bronze look. The color has plenty of sparkle and changes shades as you move around giving it lots of depth. It is a thin paint but covers as good or better than any other paint I have used. There never have been any brush marks visible once it has dried. The only drawback I have seen is because of it being thin it can run on smooth vertical surfaces if you are not careful. A little of it goes a long way. I used this on a three foot resin fountain that originally had a bronze finish. Once painted with this paint it looks much better than it did when it was new and could almost pass as real bronze. So far one coat has been sufficient on everything. To test it I painted one half of a piece of bare wood then put another coat over the whole board. You could not tell which end had two coats so to me that proved how good one coat does. It is as good as it gets.
