I bought this to repaint an already red front door that needed touch up. I used a brush that is supposed to be designed for latex. The paint would not go on evenly and was difficult to spread. Where it goes on thick, it is very glossy, but where it goes on thin, it is not. When I tried to spread out the thick area, it seems like the paint was already starting to dry. I am on my 2nd coat, and the door still looks splotchy with some areas much more glossy than others. Maybe this paint works better with a sprayer or roller, but my experience with a brush was not good.

I see good reviews for this product, but in my experience, it's probably the worst paint product I've ever used. I bought it to paint my front door. I've got two coats on it already and it looks like it will take two more to cover. It does not go down well, nor does it settle well.
Best things I can say is I love the color and it dries reasonably well.
I never dreamed I'd go through almost a full can to paint my front door (it was previously a medium green). Very very disappointed.

I have learned over the years to trust all my non-wall painting to Rustoleum. I used Colonial Red gloss for my front entry. The beauty of this product is that it covered my metal door, composite sidelights, wood screen door and metal kick plates flawlessly. You can go from application to application without worrying about adhesion. The color is a gorgeous, rich red, perfect for that New England colonial look. I'm not usually a gloss fan but I wanted high durablility and scrubbability, and honestly, I love the sheen; it's sleek but not glaring. It covered my previously dark blue door in one coat and white side lights in two easy coats. It's a little thicker than some paints but I find it easy to cut in with.
