CAN THIS PAINT BE USED OUTSIDE?

I WANT TO PAINT A DOOR

This item is for indoor use.

Is the price the same at the store? Or is it just online?

Asked by: Jackie
In most cases, retail prices are the same online as in store. Items sold online are sometimes sold as a case quantity and considered bulk. That being said, depending on the product, they can often be found for a discounted rate online as opposed to in-store single quantities.

I was a little dubious about going with this after seeing the negative reviews, but I've gotta say I was pleasantly surprised at how my project's gone with this rust-oleum painter's touch. I'm turning our old crib into a desk for the kids, and with two coats on after sanding and priming the old finish, I think it's ready to be sealed. The first coat didn't look great, but with the second everything leveled off and it looks like an even, consistent color over everything. I will say, this paint was thicker than I expected and it took about half the quart to finish two coats. I realized pretty quickly I was better off completely finishing the first coat and coming back versus trying to fix things before they were dry, b/c I was just making things worse. With the first coat done the second coat looked much better once it was done. The color is nice, and with the right kind of work on the front-end of the project, this paint looks good as a finished product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad product, save your time and $! There are many other laytex paints out there, do not settle for this stuff. After taking a great amount of time priming and sanding my project for a nice overall finished, I found out all was done for nothing. All I could think of while applying this paint was "I wonder if rubber cement would give me a better finish." This stuff sets up way too quick and is difficult to work with. I realize laytex paint isn't the most forgiving, but this product is in a world of its own, even if you follow the application process as stated on the can!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I will never buy this paint again! I bought this product to paint a wooden toybox. I primed the wood with a quality primer. I applied this paint using a brush since there are lots of corners and crevices to paint. The paint went on fine and it does dry fast but my problem is with the coverage. It took 3 or 4 coats of paint to completely cover the primer. I painted one larger surface with a brush on the first coat and a roller on the second coat. The primer shows through as if I had used watercolors instead of latex paint. To make things worse, using a roller caused tiny air bubbles to form in the paint. I had to sand this surface to remove them. I just wanted to prime the toybox, give it 2 coats of paint and be done. This poor product has turned a simple project into a headache. I will buy a better brand and cover this project in 2 coats.
