Yes, absolutely. I used it to paint a door handle to match a new lock set on a condo entry door last year. It still looks great, no brush marks, no chips. Love this stuff.

Answer:
Yes, you should be able to paint on the metal frame and handle. It states that it can be used on "wood, metal and more." They do recommend using Painter's Touch primer (especially for bare wood and metal). The can does say it's great for indoor AND outdoor projects- so I don't need think you'd need a sealant for it. Hope that helps.

Answer:
Hi,
You can use this paint on your shower door frame and handle. Since it acts as its own sealant, that won't be necessary.
However, you would need a primer to ensure that the top coat covers adequately. Be sure to scuff sand the primer once it has dried so that the final metallic oil paint has a smooth surface.

Absolutely. Just clean and maybe abrade the surface if it's super glossy. It will give a perfect satin surface with little gold highlights, perfect!

Answer:
Yes, I you should be able to paint over a brass fixture. I used it to paint over a brass accent/trim on my glass storm door. The Rust-Oleum Universal Paint, All Surface Metallic Satin Oil Rubbed Bronze Spray Paint and Primer would work well too. I used that to spray paint a brass mailbox and house numbers. Goes on great.

Yes. Sometimes brass fixtures will have a clear coat that will need to be lightly sanded. Allow 12 hours between coats.

A little hard to spray without thinning more than they recommend. It is actually more copper in color than the spray can ORB from the same manufacturer. Like it better. Can't speak to durability yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Matched the new doorknobs perfectly!! I bought new doorknobs with oil rubbed finish, but i couldn't buy a matching backing plate/ handle to replace the ugly, pitted, old brass backing plate/handle. Out of desperation I used this, brushed on the old one. It looks perfect. Great texture, no brush strokes at all, and a tinge of bronze highlight just like the knobs (how do they make it do that?) I'm extremely pleased. I hope it holds up in exterior use. The old brass finish didn't! Now I'm looking for all the other yukky old brass stuff that I can paint with this. It covers all the bsd stuff with one coat. Worth every cent. I'd give it 10 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Painted on shower trim handle and 6-light bar fixture and matches ORB fixtures perfectly I'm in the process of changing the shower fixtures from chrome to ORB; however, the MOEN shower trim handle is the one I'm hesitant on removing. So I opted to paint this fixture instead. I have read other blogs where they scoured the metal and then used spray paint; however I opted to paint this fixture instead - it would have to be removed eventually so why not try. The first coat looked horrible; I added five thin coats and let dry for 48 hours before using the shower. I didn't have any problems with the handle sticking and it looks like a new ORB trim handle. I don't know how long this will last but love the look in the meantime. I did the same process with a 6-light bar fixture as well because I didn't want to pay to have the electrical box moved to the center of the mirror (as it should have been in my opinion). This was previously spray painted meadow green; this took five thin applications to cover the fixture and now it also looks like a new light fixture as well. For both fixtures, I made sure they were clean and applied the paint in thin layers with the Linzer foam brush. I didn't bother with metal and glossy primer and I didn't sand the metal either - the paint adhered well so I didn't bother with this step; however, this may be required for items in heavy traffic situations. The paint smell is a little stronger than latex but not as strong as oil based paint - although I had the fans on, I definitely didn't feel like a vapor mask was needed. As for cleanup, depending on the surface you can wipe with a baby wipe or finger; however when it dried, I was able to use brush cleaner to remove the paint that seeped under the tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its a great product I have fallen in love with this color and have painted many things with it. I couldnt get the spray so I bought the paint in the quart can. It is so much better! It has a better finish than the spray. I love it and will continue to use it on furniture, frames, old lamps, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product I used this to paint old shiny brass door knobs and hinges. Saved me alot of money by not replacing them. All it cost me was time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this paint! I love this paint! Bought this to repurpose my kitchen chandelier. This paint goes on smooth and covers well. I only had to do two coats on my brass chandelier to transform it to a beautiful oil-rubbed bronze. Fairly priced and goes far! Will be using this again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome!! this product surpassed all my expectations! I was able to use it on wood and metal. It cleared up perfectly. the color was a spot on match. I am still finishing up the rest of the house but so far it's been awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST PAINT EVER! I've done a lot of painting over 56 years and I must say this is the BEST paint I've ever used. I generally HATE dealing with oil based paint and will do anything to avoid using it. However, this color was perfect for my exterior lights/mailbox/post and aluminum patio furniture. What's great about it is you can use this on vertical surfaces and it doesn't run. It sticks like glue. LOVE IT!
