Is this product california epa compliant for ova?
Asked by: George
George, the answer to this question largely depends on which area of California, since there are several different VOC restrictions in different areas of the state. In regards to the Federal EPA limits, our products are all EPA compliant, however, many states such as California have set stricter limits on the levels of VOC allowed in products sold in their state. Please give us a call, and we will be happy to discuss with you at 800-901-0411

What does VOC stand for?

Asked by: Mike
Great question, Mike. VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds. These are large groups of carbon-based chemicals that easily evaporate at room temperatures. Many states have VOC level restrictions and for this reason, the VOC rates are often advertised

happy to help! Rust-Oleum Parks Pro-Finisher Oil-Based Interior Polyurethane takes 7-14 days to fully cure in ideal conditions. Please keep in mind that each person has different sensitives to odors so we recommend ventilating the area if needed with fans or an open window.

CAN I MIX THIS WITH SAWDUST TO MAKE A GROUT FOR A ENDCUT FLOOR? AND HOW THICK CAN I MAKE IT WITHOUT IT CRACKING?
Asked by: JERRY
Thank you for reaching out, Jerry! Each coat of Rust-Oleum Parks Pro Finisher Oil-Based Interior Polyurethane has a recommended dry film thickness of 1.5 mils or thickness of 3.0 mils when wet. We do not recommend adding anything to this coating since it can affect the product's performance and dry time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go too!!!!! I have used this product for about Fifteen years now. The only time you can get into real trouble with this is to apply too thick a coat. It will spider web. I have rolled on the finish in the last four floors with wonderful results.( Sheepskin roller.) As another user stated follow the directions and you will not go wrong. In addition you must agitate the finish before every application as the flattening component sinks and you will get sheen variations. Happy finishing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clear Satin Polyurethane Followed the directions and rate this as an outstanding product and super value. Could not believe the results. Looks like a professional did it. Easy to apply, short period between coats. Could handle to touch in 4 hours. After 8 hours reapplied second coat. Finish is as smooth as glass. Bottom line is if you read the directions you'll rate this as top notch. Thanks for reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for your dollar! This is a very good product for the money. With over 1000 Sq Ft of hardwood to polyurethane this makes it more economical than buying a gallon at a time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from did not give a smooth finish I've used this product in the past and had a much better experience. For some reason this time the finish was terrible. In several spots the finish was very rough with tons of small spider web-like protrusions of poly. I'm not a pro, but I've refinished over 10 floors and never had these problems. Beyond these 3-4 very rough spots, no where is the finish actually smooth, with small bumps. I sanded the floor and abraded between each coat. Hopefully your experience is better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Still tacky to the touch I read the label about an 8hr. recoating time so I said to myself great I can apply this at night before I go to bed & it should be dry by morning. WRONG! I applied this to my refinished hardwood dinning room floor at 8:30 p.m., here it is 3:55 p.m. the next day and it's still tacky to the touch. I have another 4 gallons of this stuff, glad I just did the dinning room floor & not my living room floor as well.
