Answer:
No, this is a temporary paint mainly for demolition and excavation. The paint department can recommend a good spray paint for your can, whether it is metal or plastic.

Hello Mendel!
Marking paint is a temporary product designed to locate underground utilities before digging or identify the outside edge when constructing a pine straw island. It lasts only a few weeks and is designed to fade and wash off ... leaving the area free of paint marks in less than a month.
It would not be a good choice for your trash cans.

It would not be a good choice for your trash cans.
Rust-Oleum has their "Stops Rust" line of paints that display these words on the can. This is the product you should use if your can is metal. Consider using a primer with the same label to ensure the paint sticks well and last a long time.
If your trash cans are plastic, Rust-Oleum's "Sticks to Plastic" label identifies the cans that you should use. Read Less

I want to "decorate" my front lawn for a special occasion on Sunday, and then my husband will mow the lawn on Monday. Will it ruin anything on our lawnmower, and will it be still visible after mowing? If so, how many mowings would it take (weekly) before it was not visible anymore?

Answer:
Rust-Oleum Professional Inverted Marking paint withstands short- term weathering and will fade from the surface gradually. Certainly, the process of removal is much quicker when cutting your grass. One or two times cutting the grass should take care of it. This will not harm or affect your lawnmower.

Answer:
Cath, Rust-Oleum Fluorescents Marking Spray Paint is ideal for marking areas in grass. It will not disappear when the water sprinklers come on and will last likely 60 to 90 days. If it needs to be removed sooner it can be removed using a pressure washer.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product I keep several of these around and use them almost daily. Perfect for temporary marking of low horizontal surfaces, especially for demo, landscaping, excavating, cut lines, layout, and more. It fades much quicker than normal spray paint, but is still a light whitish-orange after a few weeks in the sun. The inverted and oversized nozzle makes marking easy, even with gloves.
