Answer: 
This product has a rough, granular finish, probably to increase traction on floors or steps. It is not suitable for hand rails.

Yes, Deck & Concrete Restore can be used on hand rails. To achieve a smoother textured finish, a brush may be used to skim the surface of the 2nd coat. Apply the 1st coat as directed with the Restore Roller. Apply a section of the 2nd coat with the Restore Roller. While the product is still wet, lightly skim the product in the opposite direction as rolled. Use care not to remove any of the material Read More

Answer: 
Two gallons will cover approximately 50 sq ft with two coats. Two coats are required for an even, well protected finish.

No primer is necessary but if you choose to use one If you choose to use one, we recommend using Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Water Base Primer.
To prepare your surface, the area must be clean, dry and free of dirt, grease, mildew, organic growth, and other contaminants to ensure proper bonding and adhesion. Smooth and/or glossy surfaces should be sanded or roughed up to aid in adhesion. For best results use Read More
