does this product have a sandpaper type finish?

Asked by: Anonymous
It is a rough surface but depending application technique it can be almost smooth to very bumpy. Even so the surface is not uncomfortable to walk on barefoot.

Customer Reviews

2-gal. Driftwood Deck and Concrete 10X Resurfacer is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Renew Great product. I covered a 16x20 deck one coat so far today. Hard work. The deck is 20 years old and extremely weathered. Renew covered the cracks, knot holes, nail depressions. I used about 5.5 gallons of paint. Will do 2nd coat tomorrow. I found it easier to use the roller to spread the paint, and a brush to smooth it and fill holes / cracks. Used less paint that way also. I used a 24 inch pvc pipe to extend the paint brush handle so I didn't have to bend over. I drilled a hole in the pipe and paintbrush handle, stuck a bolt thru. I cleaned the deck with the Restore wash. I used a broom to loosen up the dirt etc. and a hose to wash it off. The deck is clean. Easy work. The brush and roller cleaned up easy with a garden hose and water. The directions on the side of the bucket are very good. I bought 3 of the 3. something gallon buckets. You are going to need more material than you think you will. My deck was very bad and took a lot more paint than a less damaged deck would. It looks great so far. Olympic bought out the brand and product. they have not gotten it into the stores yet. Stocks are running low.Lowes is out of it. Home Depot is the only place I can find it. Their stocks are getting low- to out of stock.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible This product is incredibly bad! The roller leaves clumps of sand across your surface that requires going back over everything with a brush (which also makes the sand rise). The texture that's left when dried resembles the non-skid paint or strips you put on stairs. If I hadn't gone over it with the brush it would have been like asphalt. I wish there was something lower than 1 star!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This could be a "Great" product Please see the customer service tab. This product could be GREAT unfortunately my ratings could not reflect that due to issues found in the (un)mixed product.
