Customer Questions & Answers

How long can I expect this finish to last?

Is there any warrantee with it? How often must it be re-applied?
Asked by: Knowtrump
I have some in the sun and it lasted over a year. I have some under a roof water gusher in hard rain and some of it washed off from last year. I plan to repaint that area and try to divert the water and hope it does not rain as soon as I finish as last time.

Can you spray this 10x with an airless sprayer?

Asked by: Dan
We do not recommend applying Rust-Oleum Restore 10X Advanced Deck and Concrete Resurfacer with a sprayer. This product is very thick which will create difficulties while spraying. It is also important that the product is applied at the correct thickness based on the square footage of the surface. Using a sprayer will make this difficult and may result in the product not properly adhering or curing to the surface.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Buy. Just went through our second summer with this product. We did our deck in late Spring 2015. Last year it mildewed. This year it peeled in large patches and continued to mildew.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from didn't last 2 years applied as per instructions, seems it will not adhere to knots, once it cracks, water gets right under it.....freezes and that's it, starts spreading from that point, after this winter deck is ruined

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Peeling after one winter Followed all prep work and instructions. Unfortunately this product is already peeling in several areas on my deck and its only may 2016 i applied this last july 2015. Spent at least 400 dollars on this product including the prep materials. Cannot recommend such an expensive product if it is already deteriating. Wish i had better review to post.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product imaginable I rarely write reviews, but this product is sooo bad I have to. This product is the absolute worst and I'm not sure I can ever get my deck back to how it was pre-Restore. I just got done stripping the entire deck with the 10X product due to flaking and pealing everywhere. It started flaking and peeling almost immediately. I followed the directions, but it didn't help. I've never worked with a chemical stripper before, but thanks to this product I had to, and I NEVER want to again. Having to strip and redo this deck was a nightmare. And my deck is definitely worse off now than before I put Restore on. I hope I can save someone else from going through the pain and aggravation ... you will be MUCH happier with your deck long-term if you go with a different product.
