Answer:
Dry times may vary due to weather conditions such as humidity, rain, high/low temperatures and seasonal changes. We recommend applying our product with no rain for a minimum of 24 hours after the first coat and 48 hours after the second coat. The second coat can be applied as early as 3 to 6 hours after the first coat, but if the area is still wet do not apply until surface is not tacky to the touch. Read More

The second coat can be applied as early as 3 to 6 hours after the first coat, but if the area is still wet do not apply until surface is not tacky to the touch. Allow the area to dry for a minimum 8 hours before walking on the surface and 3-5 days before placing furniture on the area. Deck & Concrete Restore should not be applied if temperatures are below 50 degrees and above 90 degrees either day or night. Restore can take up to 30 days to reach a full cure. Read Less

I have a commercial client in a mall with a small space. They don't want to demo the existing floor My flooring person has suggested we may be able to use a self leveler then coat the floor with the Restore. I'm concerned about wear resistance from customers coming and going also any fume issues with an interior installation.

Answer:
Yes. Restore will adhere to a previously painted surface if properly prepared. All peeling or flaking must be removed by stripping or sanding. Remove any algae, mold or embedded dirt. Glossy surfaces must be sanded. Surfaces that have been previously coated with a stain or water sealer that continue to bead water will require pressure washing or stripping to ensure good adhesion.

Customer Reviews

Rated 2.0 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Expensive Mistake We followed the directions to the tee. Spent almost $800 to cover our entire deck. Power washed, dried, and waited before application. Went on fine. Took about a week to do entire deck. Looked great at first. 3 months after application we experienced chipping. By winter, all high traffic areas were completely peeled off. This was a huge waste of money. May 23, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Peeled off our Deck by the Winter Season The application was very work extensive, but after several, heavy coats, our deck was finished. In August, the initial results were good. Color and coverage were as we expected. By November, the floor paint started to peel off on the high traffic areas. In February, the high traffic areas are completed peeled off and chipped off. February 13, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Product did not live up to warranty. Unable to remove stains and grime from deck boards treated with the textured surface using the manufacturers cleaning directions after one year. Stain applied to seating areas peeled even though all needed preparation was done prior to application. June 14, 2013
