Answer:
We swept and used the Restore Cleaner as directed. We scrapped some lifting old paint, but that wasn't even necessary. Only reason we didn't power wash was because we were on a time limit to get project done and didn't have that much time to wait to start staining.

Answer:
All peeling or flaking must be removed by stripping or sanding. Remove any algae, mold or embedded dirt. Glossy surfaces must be sanded. Surfaces that have been previously coated with a stain or water sealer that continue to bead water will require pressure washing or stripping to ensure good adhesion.

Answer:
Our deck was stained barn red, fading & chipping. We cleaned with a push broom & Restore Cleaner (didn't use a power washer only because we didn't have time to let it dry the length of time necessary). We scrapped any loose/chipping stain, but wasn't necessary. Restore covered great even with just the first coat. Very thrilled with final result.

If it is concrete I do not see why not. Make sure you look at the bucket because one is printed "deck " and one is printed "concrete"

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy this product! Not even a year old and it is bubbling and cracking! My husband and I followed all of the directions to a T because this product is so expensive, and we were hoping by doing it right it would last a long time. The entire coating bubbling and cracking. We will have to scrape and sand the entire deck to repair it. April 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 1st time purchase of Restore 10x My 4 yr old grandson kept getting slivers in his feet, as well as myself, from my deck. Decided to try Restore 10x It is amazing! Love it! The true test will be how it fairs thru a Montana winter. August 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it! Love it Do not hesitate on buying this! We read all reviews prior to purchasing and were hesitant to try. If you read instructions and apply as directed, you will have no problems. Our deck is 10x25 and we used 2 - 4 gal. buckets & 1 gal. matching stain for two coats. We decided to keep the surface rough as it wasn't as rough as some reviews stated. We used 2 rollers, but one would of been ok. The thickness is about the same as tile grout. We did need to paint with a brush between the 3/4" cracks as it did not drip between like we thought it may. Extremely pleased with the results of the product. Color we used was Fieldstone and it's awesome. July 16, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does not adhere to deck The original Restore product was very good. I applied it to my deck stairs in 2012 and it is still working. They obviously changed the formula and this stuff is terrible. It bubbles up and peels off after only a few weeks. It will not even stick to the bucket it comes in. The colors also do not match the original formula. This new formula has a very soft rubber feel after drying while the original was much harder. Now I'm stuck with a terrible looking deck after spending two days applying this stuff. It will probably take days to scrape it off. May 19, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Oily Feel When Wet Applied two coats per instructions. Whenever it rains, the rain water feels oily or slippery to touch. It is very strange. Would not recommend this to friends. September 27, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't last even one year! I purchased 10 gallons of this product for several deck & ramp areas at a summer cabin. I read the instructions thoroughly and even cross sanded the new deck with 60 grit & a belt sander to insure adhesion. This was applied well after the deck had dried from the monsoonal storms in August and pre-application power wash. It went down easily, and the finished product made the new deck look GREAT. Here it comes; HOWEVER, by March of this year, the product had begun to peel and bubble. By August, it was peeling off in large sections. I tried applying this experimentally on several different surfaces; some that had been stained (I left the stain on) that I just went over, and (even though it does not recommend it) on ramps to a snow machine garage used to store ATVs. It has all peeled off. I have found other residents of this mountain community that have experienced the same problems. Also, the paint guy& gal at HD have received similar complaints. Although this is at 8700', it was an EXTREMELY mild winter; only about 4' of snow last year. I went through the complaint process with Rust Oleum and they say a "check is in the mail". Now, I have a mess to clean up. If you try this product in warmer climates, KEEP YOUR RECEIPT! August 26, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JUNK !!! Professional painter for over 17 years. Applied it 8/13, Peeling like crazy 3/14, not even a year ! I have had several clients asking about it. I decided to try it on my own deck first. Thank goodness I did !! I'm a pro, I always go above and beyond what the manufacturer recommends. This was by the book. Pressure wash Deck, Scrub entire deck with a broom and solution a warm water and TSP, then another high pressure rinse, let dry in hot sun for several days. Product was applied on an couple of beautiful August days, in the mid 80's, 3 coats, I really was very impressed, thought I really had a winner here.......Then here comes winter, I don't know if it was the sub zero temps or the rain and snow but it is peeling everywere ! blistering and bubbling all over. VERY DISAPPOINTED. What a mess this is going to be to scrape this junk off and try something else.........The only good thing is that it's not a customers home, then I'd be scraping together my reputation also......... :( .... A major bummer ! Do you have weather were you live ?? March 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing product This stuff actually does exactly what it claims, put it on my very aged weathered deck two years ago and it still looks great better than new. Just make sure this is what you want, it appears this stuff will never come off, it's like sealing your blacktop driveway. Very satisfied would and have recommended to all my friends. July 6, 2013
