My deck is around 28 years old. Some of the flooring boards developed wide cracks even though every other year I applied some type of stain or wood preservative to them. So, I purchased 2 buckets of Restore. First, I powered strayed my deck and then let it dry for a week. Then I applied this material. Six months later, most of the material is peeling off. I will attempt to sand the remaining material off and re-stain it. I would not recommend this product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Henson Great for new decks
Went in looking for stain to use on my new deck. Store employee suggested I try it. So I bought the 4 gallon container to do just the upper part of the deck floor where people would be getting out of the pool. Loved it so much we bought 2 more of the 4 gallon containers and did the lower deck floor and the adjacent concrete patio. Looks great!!! We get lots of compliments and no one is slipping anymore from wet feet. It is a littler harder now to sweep off grass, etc, because of the texture but over all a great product. Suggest you get 2 of the rollers if you plan to apply to a large area like I did. The first roller started to fall apart half way through and I had to pick out peices.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disgusted Extremely Disappointed
I had to resurface a concrete deck around my swimming pool. I used 40 gallons of this product which came with a hefty price tag. The product went on as they said it would....very tedious. But the really bad part is after 4 months (during the winter) with no foot traffic on it, the surfaced re cracked and the product is now peeling off with the use of a leaf blower. Impossible to clean without it stripping away. Unable to contact the manufacturer to discuss the warranty and poor performance. Never again

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by emmett Worst stuff I ever used.
I purchased the slate grey color of this stuff, with the store people telling me it was supposed to be better than whatever they used to carry. I prepped the deck by powerwashing and left it about 2 dry weeks before I applied the first coat. Waited the proper amouont of time before applying the second coat. This was in August. By this spring, it was peeling everywhere. For the steep price of it, it shouldn't have came off in 5 years! No, I don't recommend it at all!

I used this on three redwood decks at my home. It looked great until it rained and got cold. Now it is pealing off. The company told me there must be drainage gaps between the boards which is contrary to the advertised " it will fill 1/4 gaps". Now I face the mess of scrapping it off, vacuuming it up, resanding the deck and applying a high quality paint. What a mess not to mention all the time I have spent.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pete Really pleased with the results
Used this product to cover my older concrete patio. I cleaned it first with the Restore Cleaner as suggested and after it dried applied the paint with the Restore roller cover. It went on fairly easy even though it is very thick. The only thing I did not like was the fact that it splattered a lot. Otherwise I'm very satisfied and my patio looks great!! And being a water base paint the clean-up was a snap.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tricia As easy as 1,2,3 and you have a new deck!
We resurfaced our deck, using the recommended 4" roller, and in just a few hours we were done. With the two coats down it looked like a New deck! No cracked boards, no splinters, just new surface. We love it! Not afraid of the grandkids walking on the deck any longer.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by MrJohn911 Absolutely not worth it and fails to meet advertised claims
We tried Restore over a nearly new treated wood deck next to our in-ground pool. If this impressed us we were going to do our 432 sq ft deck.
This product does not meet its advertised claims. With two coats it will not bridge a 1/4" gap; and it will not cover 100 sq ft with 2 coats per large bucket. We came up short by approximately 10 ft. on a 200 sq ft deck
The product will not stand up to Georgia red clay staining either. We tried to wash off the dirt with plain water and a soft brush because we were afraid to put any detergent or other cleaner if the Georgia clay stained it like it did.
We are still waiting for the stuff to totally cure out (4 weeks). But I will tell you that after 2 weeks in the hot sun the power washer took the stuff right off the concrete pool deck with no problem.
The price per square foot is really not worth it. You could almost replace the deck boards for the same money if you did it yourself.
I am concerned what the pool water will do to the color when we have to shock the pool. We should have just stained it with the regular opaque stain. I would also not recommend cleaning this coating with a power washer.
