Customer Reviews

Rated 2.1 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Fine Product for old decks! I have seen some of the poor reviews and must say that the application is particular and the surface MUST be clean and dry - but I have applied this product and Restore 10x to more than 750 sq ft of deck with wonderful results. It has been down for going on three years and there are only a couple of places I need to reapply - that mostly due to places where bird seed held water against the deck and loosened the paint. It is pretty pricey but compared to replacing the old deck, this is less than 10% of what I would have spent on a refurbished deck. Coverage is optimistic but I am judging it based upon a pretty worn deck. The Restore 4x coverage was as advertised. I have a small amount more to cover this year and will have no reservations about using Restore! June 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy this Cleaned my deck with a power washer. Very careful to follow the instructions. Applied this spring. By the end of the summer it was starting to peel. Now it is the second summer and it looks terrible. Peeling every where and to hot to stand on with your bear feet. Too much work involved for such terrible results. If I had receipts I would ask for my money back. June 8, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Thick paint This is hard to apply - especially with a brush. But it coats the wood well with a roller and fills in cracks to protect the wood from aging/ splitting further. Since it wasn't easy to apply I may or may not use it again, but wait to see how long and well it lasts before making that decision. May 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't waste your money I used this product at the end of last summer on my front porch (wood) and my back porch (concrete). My front porch is all discolored and looks patchy. In addition, it bubbles when it rains. Back porch already chipped. Waste of time and money. May 1, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Looked good for a month or so! Looked great for around a month. Then it started pealing. Not to mention it was hotter than our tile portion of our patio. Wasnt impressed. Spent lots of money and time to now have to completely redo it. Very disappointed April 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ruined our decks - peeled within months! This so called restoration paint destroyed all of our decks!!! Took so much work to paint them only to have it look worse off now! started peeling in large chunks within months!! Now our entire front and side decks have to be completely sanded and stained. Never use this stuff!!!!!!! If I had receipt I'd demand refunds and get them to come over and redo our decks for us! garbage! December 24, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth it! We applied this to our deck in July and by January it was peeling and actually looked as if it held moisture under the paint and caused damage to the decking. I'm very disappointed in this product! March 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it Went down heavily, but easy, used textured roller, no slipping wet rained on. June 17, 2014
