Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Roland Solid Finish. Get a Respirator.
I have a single tub/shower unit that I wanted to keep. I tore a hole in it to remove the valves and replace them. I replaced the fiberglass piece that I took out by using wood strips as backers. I fiberglassed over the area and then used Bondo to smooth things out. Finally, I gave a coat of Epoxy Paint. The one can covered the entire area because it had a similar color underneath. There was some bubbling on the tub bottom that I had to scrape off an repaint. You only have 6 hours before the paint hardens in the can, so don't wait long.
I used a dust mask which is NOT sufficient. I must have been out of my mind. Get a good respirator for $30-40.00. Even with the respirator.... keep going out for air every 5 minutes. Wear good goggles as well. This stuff is toxic. Take every precaution. In the end.... it gave a great, smooth glossy finish that is like a rock! It looks like a new tub area! PS... Forget saving the brushes. They will be toast.

Amazing, make sure to remove loose and faking surface material and ventilate the work area. Keep children and small animals out of the work area. The instructions say to recoat after 3 days, but the paint doesn't last unless you make small batches, which it doesn't mention .

The rustoleum tub refinishing kit is handy to use. We bought a Kohler soaking tub and notices that within 3 years spots started to appear on the floor of the tub. Kohler said that the acrylic tub can rust. I didn't know that. The warranty was outdated and Kohler offered no help. So I found the tub kit and it solved the problem.

We used this paint to save money by not replacing the tub when doing our bathroom remodel and it turned out perfect. Then we topped it off by replacing the tabs and shower head. Saved tons of $

Follow the instructions precisely and allow plenty of time for the whole process. It has a very strong odor. Wear a filtration mask when you paint and keep the windows open for a few hours after you paint. It will take several days for the odor to fully clear.
I was worried about sanding enough and could not see any difference on my pink (!), matte-finish tiles. I called Rustoleum customer service and the very nice rep reassured me this is mostly for "super shiny" tiles, and said to just to sand lightly. Don't hesitate to phone them for help.
It needed two coats, plus a final, touch-up coat when we messed up the finish after painting the adjacent counter-top with a different product. Finally, I applied white caulking to the seam, which hides the unevenness between the two colors.
Now it looks very nice with a very shiny finish, and completely covers the previous color.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by KraftyK Great if you can handle the smell
End result was good but would have been great if I did a second coat. The smell was so toxic even wearing a respirator I could not do a second coat. My head was swirling from the fumes and I took 5 min breaks as directed. If you can handle the fumes then try it. But I'll warn you they are strong.
