Will this paint stick to ceramic tile? I can't afford the tile kit

Asked by: jeff
I would try it on wall tile but wouldn't chance it on high traffic floor tile. Then again, you could just periodically sand and paint the surface if it doesn't wear well. But, I imagine that would get old after a while...

Can a glass oven door be painted with this product?
Asked by: DIY
No, Rust-Oleum Specialty Appliance Epoxy may not be applied to the glass on a stove. The coating will not withstand the high heat on that area.

Use on stove?

I have a small scratch on my stove and have some of this leftover from painting my fridge. Is this ok to use on a stove? It's on the side lip, of the stove so not directly by a burner. Thanks!
Asked by: Kmarie
Rust-Oleum Specialty Appliance Epoxy is not recommended for use on objects exposed to heat such as stovetops, oven interiors or microwave interiors. If it is exposed to temperatures exceeding 200 degrees Fahrenheit it will yellow, crack, and peel off of the surface.

1 qt. White Gloss Appliance Paint (Case of 2) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded my expectations! I was preparing my home for the holidays and had planned on purchasing a new refrigerator when a friend of mines suggested Rustoleum's Appliance epoxy. I must admit I was very reluctant as I haven't painted anything other than pictures in grammar school, and the idea of using an epoxy on a textured surface raised a few red flags in my head. I began reading some of the reviews and the positive comments outweighed the negatives and decided to take on the task and I was pleasantly surprised. The epoxy settled into the textured finish beautifully just be sure and purchase a high quality foam roller!

My wife would cover the spots with family photos. I first used an orbital sander to remove the major rust, then masked off the bits that I didn't want paint on - then used a primer the prepare the surface. I wasn't certain that the rust-oleum would adhere to the primer but it appears to. I applied the Appliance Paint with a 4 inch roller. It went on smooth & easy leaving an orange peel surface, must like the original finish. As per the label, it was dry to the touch in two hours. I waited 24 hours to apply a 2nd coat. It dried even better, adhering to the surface perfectly, as if it was sprayed on. I highly recommend this product.

Paint completely changed the surface of the fridge. Looks neat and clean now instead of dated! This product saved us from a new fridge expense with just two coats of this thick paint on an old almond fridge (looked bad, otherwise excellent condition and too big to move just yet!) and I would recommend it to anyone with dated appliances that still work fine. I unscrewed the handles and used a small cabinet roller for most of the fridge. This is an easy one.

Old refrigerator worked perfectly but exterior was pitted, stained and had rust spots. I thought i would try to paint it before getting a new appliance. Paint was extraordinary. Washed down the fridge with soap and water and applied the paint with a soft 6" roller. I also bought some small 1" brushes to do next to the handles. One coat does it with some touch up over the big stains and rust spots. Looks brand new. About 1/2 a quart is enough for a refrigerator. Highly recommend product.

Would not recommend using a brush or other kind of roller. Smooth finish and bright white. Made my old white refrigerator look brand new. It will yellow after a few years however, and will need a new application at that time. The project is well worth it if you have an old appliance that works perfectly otherwise, such as my old Whirlpool Fridge. Dried in about 1 day and took 2 applications.
