I've used Rustoleum products many times in the past and when I saw this glow in the dark paint for I thought this would make our Halloween project look awesome. Well it didn't. I made a ghost of chicken wire and fabric for the yard and it doesn't glow at all. I couldn't believe it. However, this doesn't keep me from purchasing other products by Rustoleum.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Joey81 Read direction correctly.. it works!!!
Anyone who says it doesn't work. Your not applying it right. Read the direction. What I did was purchase the Rustoleum white paint and primer in one for the base color..3 coats wait about 20 minutes to apply each coat of white primer.. Then spray 5 coats of Glow.. again wait 20 minutes in between coats. Then if you want for a final finish.. throw 2 coats of Rustoleum clear gloss and your all set and finished. It won't glow in the dark if you apply 1 coat of glow and it's has to have a white base primer for the first coat. It won't work with any dark base color just a white. It may take a few hours till the product is actually finished just because the amount of coats you have to apply. Trust me it works. It's doesn't glow for 4 to 8 hours but it's actually glows for maybe 20 minutes to half hour. If you have a blacklight it will just stay glowing till you shut the light off.. Then again it will glow for 20 to 30 minutes and then it fades away.

Bought 2 cans, both kept getting clogged while using and even after 3 days of sunshine, it still doesn't even work. Not even a little. Waste of money.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FL702 It works great. I Agree with Joey81's review.
If you have been disappointed by this product, it is NOT the problem. Years ago, when I first started using this product I had some disappointing & frustrating results. Until I took the time to review the manufacturer's website & suggestions to get the best result from this product.
Joey81's review is spot on. You have to prep the surface properly & you need a little patience. I have been using this product in Central Florida for years on various outdoor projects of multiple surface types. It has always held up well to heat, rain & sunlight exposure.
Best Example of how well this product has worked for me: I painted our house # on the front yard Oak tree 5 years ago, it is still "Glowing Strong".

I read on Pininterest about buying glow in the dark paint & painting small rocks for outside. I was excited to try this. Went to store, couldn't find it. Asked salesman (who was great great help) He told me that it only last few hours. Still at $10.00 (a spray can) I bought it anyway. I even put out cardboard for protection of grass. It sprays on clear. I sprayed different yard oranaments but waitted way too late in the evening to see if they even glowed! Will have to check tonight. Still I was disappointed for the price that I thought was expensive & I thought you could buy different colors and perhaps the paint would come in a can. Live & Learn.
