Customer Questions & Answers

Can the Rust-Oleum Gloss white lacquer spray paint be used on veneer finished pressed wood?

Asked by: Anonymous
Greetings Miki, My name is Tom, also known as HD116 both here and at Home Depot's How to Community. I am here today assisting with some product questions and saw yours. The answer should be yes. The existing veneer should be sanded and then multiple coats may be required to get the finish you desire. I would try simply sanding and doing a first coat to ensure the paint can adhere to the surface. If not, a primer would likely be required. Hope that helps.
