Far superior to other brands, and Rustoleum's own multi-surface product. Just the right bright gold color: not too yellow, not too brassy. Goes on very well, with little separation. Dries fast. Delighted with the results - so much so that I'm repurposing many household items as accents in this single, unifying color. Even a simple metal mesh wastebasket or pencil holder looks amazingly good, when given 2 coats of this paint.

After trying Krylon, Valspar, and multiple other metallic gold spray paints, THIS ONE IS THE BEST. Great shine and color pay off. I will never use any other!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CJ Nice reflective finish
As compared to the Specialty Metallic Silver paint, this one creates a shiny gold finish. It's not a mirror-like finish so the shiny cap is still deceiving, but it does have good luster and light reflection. I'm quite pleased. Do not cover in any clearcoat, since that will dull the paint considerably.

I used this paint to cover a tarnished brass plated frame where the finish was wearing off. I would have preferred the brass colored paint but you can't buy it in the store.

I had a few items around my house that I wanted to update with a true gold finish, so I bought this spray paint as well as the "Metallic Pure Gold" also made by Rustoleum. This is far and away a much "truer" gold. The other color bordered on bronze, had very little shimmer, and was much flatter in color. (Looks exactly like the color on the lid).
This also has great, forgiving coverage. When I was done, the items literally looked as though I'd dipped them in liquid gold. Much easier than gold leaf paint, and just as good.
If you'd like to make like King Midas and gilt items around your house, this is the spray paint for you.
